Since the end of 2010, Vietnam participated in the Rainforest Challenge in Malaysia for the first time, then after more than 10 years returned to this world-class harsh arena with a lineup of 3 competing cars including:
Vehicle 108: Main driver Ngo Dang Khoa, co-driver Nguyen Hoai Nam of Redline Racing Team (HCMC Off-Road Vehicle Club).
Vehicle 134: main driver Tran Dinh Vu Huy, co-driver Nguyen The Sinh of Binh Duong Off-Road Vehicle Club.
Vehicle 135: main driver Tran Viet Dung, co-driver Nguyen Manh Tung from Hanoi Off-Road Vehicle Club.
The RFC is ranked among the Top Five Toughest Off-Road Races in the World, ranked 3rd behind the Baja 1000 and Dakar (according to Skoda Motorsports). The East African Safari Race and King of the Hammers are in 4th and 5th place, respectively. RFC is also in the Top 10 toughest motorbike races in the world (according to Jalopnik).
RFC is an extreme off-road race for 4×4, ATV, UTV, including Enduro motorcycles held for public viewing at the Opening Special Stage - SS competitions and by level and type. The formulas are named Predator, Terminator, Twilight Zone, Survival and Post Logue SS.
The RFC racing format, rules and regulations (created and owned by RFC Founder) have, since 2012, spread to become the RFC Global Series (RFCGS) with events in Asia, Oceania , Europe and America with organizers and representatives in more than 30 Countries. RFCGS events are enthusiastically followed by 4×4 enthusiasts in more than 60 countries. The RFCGS event circuit is expanding worldwide, including more and more countries across six continents.
The Rainforest Trophy (RFT) is a non-racing event with an emphasis on exploration, adventure and travel exploration that was also founded by Mr. Luis JAWee in 2017. The RFT is now considered a prestigious event. Another icon for 4x4 enthusiasts to drive, experience, learn about 4x4 and discover places of interest on the journey. The RFT format has also spread beyond Malaysia with the first RFT event held in the North Caucasus region of Russia in 2019. From 2020 onwards, RFT events will also expand globally to off-road enthusiasts satisfy their passion for 4x4 exploration around the world under the leadership of the RFT World Series (RFTWS).
