If we are to listen to Socrates tyranny is the child of democracy. Just as democracy is the child of oligarchy. So it's reasonable to believe the next natural progression is that of tyranny.
@@RoyalistKev If I remember correctly, on Thaddeus Russell's podcast, Moldbug said that reading Hoppe's book 'democracy the god that failed' was his first red pill experience

@@humphreychimpdenearwicker5650 You're almost right. Moldbug's redpill experience happened during the 2004 election-- i saw a KZbin video where he talks about it. Hoppe's book moved him away from libertarianism.

@@RoyalistKev yeah I saw that. I think that is kind of funny since Hoppe still considers himself a libertarian. I have read and watched some Moldbug and I am not convinced of his argument against libertarianism. Mostly because it is not an argument but more like an overly wordy statement.

I believe we have a layered system now. In the sense that we have an ultra elite or oligarchy but the democratic masses are the tool which they use to creat tyranny.

“Both for practical reasons and for mathematically verifiable moral reasons, authority and responsibility must be equal - else a balancing takes place as surely as current flows between points of unequal potential. To permit irresponsible authority is to sow disaster; to hold a man responsible for anything he does not control is to behave with blind idiocy. The unlimited democracies were unstable because their citizens were not responsible for the fashion in which they exerted their sovereign authority... other than through the tragic logic of history... No attempt was made to determine whether a voter was socially responsible to the extent of his literally unlimited authority. If he voted the impossible, the disastrous possible happened instead - and responsibility was then forced on him willy-nilly and destroyed both him and his foundationless temple.” ― Robert A. Heinlein, quote from Starship Troopers

Why does Hoppe live in Turkey?
@moritzbidner17133 жыл бұрын
I would like to know that as well! I cant understand it. Especially due to the fact, that the state is ruled by a horrible faschistic, theocratic administration. But i know that his wife is turkish....so

@@moritzbidner1713 I don't know a place not ruled by a horrible fascistic administration. I call bullshit on your argument.

His wife is Turkish; I believe this is the main reason he wants to live there.
