3:04 I think that the parts of the diagonal bars that are inside the door-like frame are separate from the rest of the set-up, so that they can slide back-and-forth, such that when the curtain is pulled, Hans can just step back, pushing back the diagonal bars back. he then moves to his left, between the bars and the door frame that we can see. In the same motion, the girl can move from left to right, in-between the bars and the door frame. then grabs the bars behind her and pulls them up

It would've been awesome to see the two halves seperately at the same time, with someone holding the top one and carrying it around or something like that, and then the bottom half could, say, sit on the shoulders of the top one, or the top one could grab the bottom one from the legs and hold it up or any kind of acrobatic trick that would influence her being 'cut in half', though. It's most probably possible, if it was done with two assistants.

@whymfrost I agree with you. I like magic but this is the worst illusion ever. It is so easy to fiqure out how they did it that I can't understand why it is even a professional illusion! I got how they did it after watching it for the first time (your explanation is spot on). Do you like the illusion even though you fiqured it out easily?

1:43 there a trap door on the back of that circle container,At exactly 1:53 if you pause it you can see him looking down at her as she goes out the trap door and hides behind the bucket while he pulls over curtain.When he stands on top of it and pulls up the curtain,shes standing behind it ready to Switch positons with him.1:58 she probably standing on the thing with him,,then as he throws it up he jumps down behind it and goes in the trap door.LOl just so at 2:05 when she lift it up ,hes in.
