Wow, Bo Burnham wasn’t wrong when he said that he was inspired by Teeuwen. The “poem” or spoken prose around the 07:30/08:00 mark eerily predates Bo’s “i fuck sluts” - as a wordsmith Bo’s version is certainly punchier and more impressive, but it’s genius lies in the premise and that’s Teewen’s greatness right there. [edit] I’ve been living in the Netherlands since 2009 and I’ve always known about Hans Teeuwen - one of my first questions when moving here was who are your best comedians - but never really actually looked into him.. For a long time my Dutch wasn’t good enough. Maar nu wel. En ja, makkelijk om te zeggen dat hij nu mijn favoriete komedie is.

I see some negative opinions here about this performance. I've been watching him since early 2000s and I have to say that his more recent shows feels weaker than his older ones. Also the English version simply feels different. Nevertheless, this performance in itself is still funny to me. Hey, if it makes me laugh, it's good to me. Just keep critics simple like that.
