Their situation becomes more dangerous when they encounter a witch living in a house of breads, cakes, and sugar.

The story Rumpelstiltskin tells of a poor miller who, out of desperation to appear as a person of importance in the presence of the king, says that his daughter can spin straw into gold, so the greedy king locks the girl in a room and tells her that if she has not spun the straw into gold by morning, she will die.
