Johnny has said, in several interviews, that he and Peter were (and still are) friends . Rumor has it that Johnny told producers that he would only appear in the Jump Street movie if they also got DeLuise to reprise his role as Penhall. Peter, meanwhile, has stated that he and Johnny still talk to this day. In fact, when Peter's father--actor Dom DeLuise--died a few years ago, he said one of the first phone calls with condolences he got was from Johnny. So they are still close.

Ahh, those were the days. No temporary insanity&lunacy,extremist and things were okay. Could have been better. But okay. They outta to a reboot on the original 21 jump street series. Not these movies. Neither like nor dislike the jump street movie series. But I think it was the wrong direction to go.

I loved the chemistry between all of the castmates, but the chemistry between these two has remained my t.v. favorite duo. I know that both Johnny and Peter went on to different paths in terms of their career, but I hope they remain friends to this day. 💙
