Hans, I have been fly fishing for a couple years and just started tying my own flies on wednesday last week. I tried using a book for instruction but, found it lacked a true step by step instruction and my success suffered, then i found you. I was looking for instruction on Bob Wyatts DHE and found your "DHE 2.0". Your instruction is wonderful!!! While i have caught many trout with store bought flies, i had the most productive hours of fly fishing ever, this friday, with my own flies! Thank you!

Steve, The selection is a mixture. Some are my own patterns, some are 'standard' patterns I have found to be good producers, some look interesting to demonstrate or have useful techniques or materials, and some are requests. No one answer in other words ;-) Cheers, Hans W

Usually i use heavy weighted nymphs(tied on 8-6 size scud hook) ,but some time lenok prefer dries,often it's a big mayfly,tied on TMC 5212 Tiemco,once i caught him on Peacock Despair,but the PD was a little changed variant,cause i haved no similar materils,but principle remained your.

I like fishing for grayling - now Brachymystax lenok, those I have not yet been able to fish for. They look beautiful. Sub-surface mostly, or do they rise to dries? Hans W
