What John Williams was in the 80s and 90s, Zimmer is for the early 2000s. The man is an absolute legend. Even though a lot of his themes remind of each other, he has a feeling for music and how it makes a scene in a movie, that not many composers have.

A true artist takes and brings joy with his work. Zimmer is another of the modern classical composers whose works will go down in history alongside Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, and Williams.
@xallen224 жыл бұрын
RXN54 Yes it was. Look up the interview with Hans Zimmer for pirates of the Caribbean. He wrote 99% of the score over one night, but because he was working on another movie at the time, Klaus did the recording of it. Also listen to the gladiator theme “the battle” around 6 min in, it so similar to this part

The music itself speaks a fairytale. Almost like the story of Jack Sparrow even if you haven't watched the movie. Starts with comedy, then there is an intense emotional period with elements of positivity, comedy and anger but where things change and then a sacrifice. There is acceptance to what has happened but a plot to come back is charted. The tale culminates with the victory of the protagonists.

Solo Cellist is fierce AF. This arrangement is just crazy. To put all of these instruments on a stage and use each of them to add the perfect amount of depth and interest is purely amazing. The players made sure to put just enough in as well. The electric guitar could’ve wailed, but only the basic tone comes through and adds edge when playing in unison with the others. Beautiful.

Noah Key Hans Zimmer ain't deaf, Beethoven is, and he played music he made himself by just feeling the vibrations on the floor. Beethoven beats Hans by a lot.

@@danielawesome36 Beethoven might be more talented but he never composed 'one day'. Zimmer feels superior tbh.

Chills over my entire body for 12:43min. My favorite composer EVER. As a filmmaker, I hope to work with someone that has the slightest ounce of what Hans has, but I realize that’s probably impossible. A legend.

i think my perception of that song is corrupted by the poor acting of Orlando Bloom and Keira Nightley. I just don't believe their love or they sorrow. In my opinion they are both bad actors. Depp on the contrary... just an incredible actor.
