Definitely you are not alone. Pls read my story which I wrote 2 years back and I am sharing it here. I recited hanuman chalisa 108 times on Saturday. Really wonderful. It took 4.5 hours for me to complete 108 times. After reciting I realised nothing is impossible in life Some sarcastic replies in the comment section has made me to express my side of the story. Painful and Tearful story. I battled severe depression few years back. I was like a submarine literally. Couldn't see the surface. Fighting with your mind day in and day out was damn tough. Your mind will never cooperate. On top of it medication too. It was nothing short of a hell . You will truly feel that nobody is there for you and that emptiness feeling within you. Depression is nasty. I had no other option except to fight it out. I battled it out. I crashed like anything. Worse than flight crash. But I crawled back .You don't feel like speaking up. You like to remain in a shell. Ì mean when you are unable to identify yourself what you can speak up??You will be fed up with life completely when you are battling depression. Tears like anything. Uncontrollable. Never ending tears. Conversation I used to have with God everyday Me : God Pls. I want to become normal. why me?? My mind is pushing me in every way to take the extreme step. I can't handle this situation anymore. God pls help me. God: You are not alone. Many are there sailing in the same boat like you. Stay focused. Taking the extrene step is not the solution. You are not doing that. Tough situations don't last long. You will be fine. Me : People take extreme step just like that for small trivial things God.They succeed in that. Why not me?? God : Taking the extreme step is success for you. It's a failure indeed. Me : Nobody does that wantedly. Situation forces people to do that. God : Even in worst of worst situations taking the extreme step is is not the correct choice. Don't worry. I will show you the right path. Stay positive. Things will settle down. There is definitely light at the end of the tunnel. Stay focused. Me : Thanks a lot God. Got some clarity now. But my mind did not understand that. My mind : Focus. What's that??. I don't know anything about that. Me : Smile?? Laugh?? Happiness?? What's that?? I don't know anything about that. My mind : What's preventing you from taking the extreme step?? When others can do it. why can't you?? Me : Comparing me with others for not taking the extreme step. Comparisons are never ending in life. What life honestly. My mind: I am.not comparing. That's the fact. Me: Like an animal trapped in the net.Which way to go?? What to do now?? How to get out of this situation? ? So many questions. The most toughest question was whether to live or to die ?? .I just couldn't decide on that. I don't know why. Till today I don't have any answer for that. Really very tough situation when your mind gets blocked in every way. Just can't describe in words. My mind again after 3 years. Let's work together. I am.sorry. I realised now. Let's fight it out. No more tears. Me :WOW. Thanks a lot for that. Big hi- fi to you. By the time my mind realised that 3 years gone just like that. Most happiest day in my life. Total clarity now. From that day no turning back. I moved forward step by step. Me , my.mind and God got connected totally. Such a deep connection that we share a beautiful bonding today. I really thank God for that. Without God's help this would not have happened. This hanuman chalisa helped me a lot. It brought positivity in me and gave me mental strength. Today I am out of medication and back to normal. I recite everyday 7 times so I have a hold maybe that's why I was able to do in 4.5 hours. But does the time really matter?? At the end you have achieved it. That's most important. For those who are battling depression or going through tough situations in life pls never ever give up. Don't lose hope. Fight it out. You will definitely succeed. Hold on tightly. I know when we go thru tough situations the hold will be just 10% but you can bring it to 100% by staying positive. You will feel that you are truly from different planet because of the distance that people maintain when we battle tough situations. If you receive 3 calls in a day that's a big number. This is the reality of life. The splitting truth of life. But life definitely moves on without calls too. I also do yoga everyday to stay positive. I write positive affirmative statements too daily. I have started taking classes now. I start my day by thanking God for all the timely help I also thank people around me who gave me all the support during tough situations. Much needed support. Hanuman chalisa truly works. Trust me. With faith you can move mountains. With faith you recite hanuman chalisa and see the remarkable changes in your life. Hanuman chalisa creates miracles in life. My life rotates and revolves around hanuman chalisa. Extremely powerful. Totally addicted to hanuman chalisa. Writing this with Niswartha bhakti bhaav (निःस्वार्थ भक्ति भाव) - selfless devotion. In Hanuman Chalisa, "bal" means strength (बल), "buddhi" means intelligence (बुद्धि), and "bhakti" means devotion (भक्ति). These words remind us of Hanuman’s main qualities-he’s incredibly strong, very wise, and totally devoted to helping others. There’s also this phrase, "sankat mochan", which means "the one who removes obstacles." It’s basically saying that Hanuman is the one who helps us get through tough times. When we face problems, like mental or physical challenges, Hanuman is there to guide us and give us the strength to overcome them. Recently, I started reciting Hanuman Chalisa whenever I felt mentally weak, and it gave me immense strength. It reminds me that I can face challenges just like Hanuman did, with courage and faith. Don’t you see Hanuman in the laborers who work tirelessly to make our surroundings better? Don’t you see Hanuman in the drivers who ensure we reach our destinations safely every day? Don’t you see Hanuman in the vegetable vendors and farmers who provide us with food, working in the heat and rain, just like Hanuman served Lord Rama? Don’t you see Hanuman in those who install ACs in tall buildings, risking their lives with harnesses to make our lives comfortable?
