Thank you for posting both of these. I always enjoy your reactions and thoughts. You probably caught this, but you can see in both these videos Freddie's unique wrist down piano playing position that Brian has referred to. Yes, once a person really 'gets' Queen and understands their and Freddie's love for the music, the striving for perfection, and devotion to their listeners it's easy to love them and him. The more you listen to his music and watch Freddie the more you also understand he was very funny but never in a cruel sense; extremely kind and generous; and easily wounded. Losing him was a huge painful loss of a magnificent soul and all the music he still had inside him that he wanted to give to the world. However, having thought about this for a long time, I believe his prolonged death and suffering which was done with such grace and enormous courage was perhaps Freddie's greatest gift to so many who have, are, or will experience death from any horrific illness. When my time comes, no matter how painful, I hope I will be able to somewhat emulate Freddie's strength of character and lack of self-pity that carried him through to the end. Happy Birthday, dear Freddie. You are missed.

By the way, that was the song they ended every concert with until Freddie wrote We Are the Champions. They then ended every concert with that one. They included In the Lap of the gods in a medley during their famous 1986 Wembley concert where he really belts it out!

If you really love someone, even an artist & his music, you connect to their soul on a vibrational/spiritual level that crosses time & space (not that time really exists, but that's another discussion). So beautiful that you can connect to him this way! And it makes me so happy that almost 50 years later people still discover& love Queen!!

Nice choice for a very special birthday boy. Whist we hold him in our hearts and guard his memory his legend will endure. A day to remember this most perfect beautiful man. For a dreamy soul feeding song A Winter's Tale off the Made In Heaven album. You can get the video with Freddie's hand written lyrics on it. One of the last songs he composed and his vocals were done only months before his passing.

A good day to celebrate this magic pair of songs! Both live versions are great. The live version where he sings "rrrisky" was the night when they all badly suffered from the flu, but on that night here they were fit. So on another day you could do a double reaction to the studio versions, and you'd be surprised by some differences. In "the Lap of the Gods original", Freddies voice sounds deep, metallic and distorted. And in the studio version of ...revisited there are those delicate falsetto notes, the deep heartfelt suffering, it's so particularly precious. But that's for another day. Very nice idea, to react to both of the songs! Happy Birthday!!

You are not the only one with the dream thing happening. I personally feel there are a few (who authentically appreciate & love Freddie) that are the "chosen ones" for spiritual visits. I too have had visits/dreams and signs/communication from both Freddie and my son. I didn't really believe it all until certain things started happening after my son's death that were clearly intentional.
@@HAP3SPEAKZ I would share with you personally but not publicly. People are so mean and hateful nowadays. I would like to hear your experiences also but completely understand why you wouldn't share publicly.

Thank you. I love the songs, love the video, love your reaction, love Freddie, and love Queen! Yeah, that's a whole lot of love! The Rainbow version of InThe Lap Of The Gods easily falls into my top ten list. This is from Queen's Sheer Heart Attack tour. Funnily enough, the song, Sheer Heart Attack was not included on the Sheer Heart Attack album. But the band was really on fire for the Rainbow concerts in '74. The November concert is available on DVD. I got my copy on eBay. I can tell you it is a great pleasure to sit back and watch the entire concert from beginning to end. I need to dig out my thesaurus and find a synonym for "great."

fun fact from the early days, the first two albums (Queen & Queen 2) were originally titled 'deary me' and 'over the top'! which sound great titles!! and before settling on Queen as their name 'the rich kids' was the front runner! brian and roger would look ridiculous now playing live as the rich kids! 🙈 they made the right call 👑✊🇬🇧

Many many months ago when u began reactiion videos to Queen, I followed u almost daily because I was very impressed how u were also teaching me HOW to listen to music BETTER... like u do.... U pointed out many parts of all the instruments in the background as they piped past my ears. U hear every part of their music while I often just listened to Freddie's voice. I have learned so much from u, Hap ! I actually enjoy music more now since u bothered to stop the videos & said "listen to Brian's part, or that riff of John's was imcredible" or "WOW, did u hear that falsetto of Roger's ".... U helped me learn how to hear what's in the background, behind the lyrics, & I am wondering what your profession is, a music producer perhaps? (Ha, per-Hapz?) Sounds like one of yr funny comments ! You've now become what I predicted way back, a total Queen devotee ! It was inevitable & I just smiled over the past months seeing it happen to u. Queen grabs onto some of us & makes us appreciate how truly great their music is & it has totally invaded you thru these musical experiences with yr Queen reactions. Welcome to the club, Hap. Yup, we all are in 💘 love with Freddie too. He exudes passion for music & u so obviously respect that in him. Thanks for such articulate observations, peppered with yr wonderful laugh, you are absolutely charming & a delightful man ! OK, I'm going to say something I wasn't going to say, but yr courageous remark tells me to say one more thing... you are absolutely gorgeous/ to look at too ! There, I said it ! Yup, you are so, so handsome.! ... those beautiful laughingl eyes of yours, that perfect nose, the sweetest smile, your shiny jet black hair ... you could pass for Freddie's brother ! And we so appreciate yr acknowledgement of dear Freddie's ❤ birthday on here.. It shows what a thoughtful fan of his u have become. Maybe one day you u will tell us a little more about yourself? Are you in the U.K.? Are u in the music industry? And we are always looking fwd to yr next Queen reaction, you"re " SIMPLY THE BEST " as Tina Turner's song goes! From Sailor Suzie

You could've reacted to the studio Version of the Original first Lap of the gods song. It's very different from the Live version and has more Roger falsetto's in the Intro. The Live version is definitely sounding better but that Intro in the Studio version is like nothing else you've ever heard. (Here the Link to it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f5allGCZZr6UpMk ). I Really love the Second song its sounding good and Freddie's Vocals are amazing. But still it doesn't get me as good as the first one. Especially Roger singing in the first one makes everything about it thousand times better than it aleady was. *_HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO FREDDIE MERCURY._* Great reaction.
