I used to be! Left it after my old Hapatra list got stomped for several months in my local playgroup and I abandoned Hapatra for a while. I should rejoin now that Hapatra is back on the menu!

í'm almost sure that you need actually 2 snakes for blowfly infestation combo. You can't put the trigger on the snake that hapatra recently created.

Well then wouldn’t that mean the combo doesn’t work at all? I don’t understand why you couldn’t put a counter on a new snake

No this combo definitely works. After a snake dies from a -1/-1 counter, it triggers Hapatra, creating another snake. When that snake is put into the graveyard it can then be targeted by the Blowfly trigger, ( putting a -1/-1 counter on the new snake and starting the cycle over again.

Maybe not the best card but Liliana's influence can be useful (even if you don't use that planeswalker).

Liliana's influence was part of my old Hapatra list but sadly at 6 cmc it just doesn't make the cut in my current local meta.

Yeah...Cryptolith Rite was a hard cut to make at the start of revamping my old list. My reasoning for cutting it out is that this deck is looking for it's combo asap and is not making as many snakes as some other Hapatra lists, thus reducing the effectiveness of Cryptolith Rite.

Ivylane denizen is better than quillspike with devoted because you can create inf green mana ;)
