Back in 2001 to 2005 i was in a domestic violence situation and it also led to rape. Worst thing was I am disabled in a wheelchair, he was an alcoholic. He was the father to my now 20 year old daughter. I am one of those lucky cases where I broke free and remarried. I have been married 16 years now and have 3 wonderful children with the man who rescued me. The destructive ex is now all alone and will die that way as people will say they will change but never do. I found out when I left he had done this to previous girlfriends, tried to strangle one and another, he kept leaving the gas hob on creating bad headaches and making her sleepy. Just so he could stay at the pub. We all didn't want to believe the warning signs, as love can make you blind. But we can all break free and we are all stronger than we think. Thank you Jojo for raising awareness, this was so powerful, I wish you all the luck and happiness when you marry. Xxxx

As dancer and a domestic violence survivor for over 3 yrs now this has so much meaning in this for me. He’s been in jail all this time but that doesn’t make the trauma of almost losing my life along with over 2 yrs of abuse go away. So anyone that may be in a domestic violence situation please know there is help out there, you can get away, you can be free, and you can reclaim who you are again just make one call to dove or the number they posted on the beginning of this video. I must say they did a brilliantly amazing job with this subject matter through dance. The emotions were incredible as well as the choreography as always! This literally brought me to tears as it got toward the end wow!🙏🏽❤️

I spent almost 20 years in extremely toxic relationships. This was almost hard to watch honestly because it captures it so perfectly. The lyrics, the emotion- the pain is so real still in some ways and I've been single for 5 years now. I just wish there was some emphasis on how to love yourself and heal. Domestic violence is horrible but there IS hope. It doesn't have to continue.

I didn’t know dance could be like this. I didn’t know it could pull my feelings out from inside my chest and lay them bare across the floor. Cried a lot watching this, seeing flickers of memories I can’t stomach anymore. This artistry is breathtaking and important and beautiful. Thank you both for performing this and sharing it. The smoke blowing was an especially impactful choice and i’m in awe of that creative decision. It really brought me into my emotions as a viewer who knows what that’s like. Such a small and specific detail that nods to me and says “I too know this experience with an intimacy that anyone who doesn’t know what it’s like wouldn’t pick up on.”

Jjojo been watching your choreography for years.... This was so deep and spot on with the raw emotions of someone drowning in toxic love gasping for air just wanting to breath again 😥 your representation of an abusive relationship ......that scream hurt my soul.
