I can relate to my father being abusive, not to vent here but he was always on drugs and abused me and my sister. So I think the message your sending out is very kind, it is important for children to have loving parents and role models, if they don't it can change them for the worst. So it's very amazing people are aware of things like this!

The ending is so true it’s heartbreaking seeing all my friends and people at my school go through rough times with their parents like this….. It’s true that parents need to be there for their kid and if their not (DEPENDING ON THE SITUATION) they don’t deserve a kid and the child deserves a family that will make them grow up to be strong and happy and ready for life. Almost all this happened to me except when he hit me it was only once and he never drank. He knows he caused me PTSD because of it and his mental health was horrible at the time. He says it is not his fault, he says "I was sick, so it's not my fault." This all happened through when I was 2-11. But we found out I had PTSD recently. He won't even take responsibility for giving me depression at the age of about 5-7 either. He always falsifys my memories and said they were false memories even though most of them are the big things that haunt me. The day after I turned 2 my brother was born, so I took it upon myself to give my brother a better life and mental health then I had so I acted out more. When my father was mad at him I'd do something to take his attention off of screaming at a toddler. My brother how treats me like crap and I have had the urge to yell at him, "IS THIS HOW YOU TREAT THE PERSON WHO RAJSED YOU?!" what about my mom? I don't blame her because she had to work and my dad didn't have a job. Sorry about my rant 😅

Every child deserves a parent who loves them for who ever they are. My parents don’t. So from experience I know that it is hard. I want to say it gets better but I truly don’t know if it does. And I don’t like getting my hopes up. I would say always expect the worse then they can never disappoint you even more then they already have. My parents love there idea of me. But that’s not who I am. Please always be you no matter what someone says I know it’s hard but you have to keep pushing through.❤
