We love Ryan Hall, Y’all and his Xtra channel! (But we love you guys bigger!) So glad you got through it unscathed. We opted to stay in Clyde, TX for the eclipse, so we missed totality. I hated it but we just couldn’t trust the weather in the Dallas area. Just FYI: In Grand Prairie, TX there’s a campground called Loyd Park at Joe Pool Lake. So nice! Close to shopping and dining. Seems like y’all don’t get much time to just hang out and be quiet, but if you find yourselves in that area again, it’s a pretty nice campground. As always, THANKS HANKS for all you do for us! It truly makes our RVing experiences better! Smooches to Dexter! 🐱

SoTina, you have stayed in Lloyd Park and liked it? We rode through but were just not that impressed. However, there was a lot of rode const. in the area, and hard getting in and out. We stay at Cedar Hill State Park Due to back surgery we haven't been since we got everything redone and reopened after the flooding several years ago. We may just have to check out Lloyds Park again!

I use a 50 amp to 15 amp pigtail all the time. It plugs into the 50 amp plug on the RV then I run a 15 amp extension cord from there. It is so much easier than wrestling with a 50 amp cord when you only are plugging into a 15 amp outlet. Especially handy when boondocking and running my 2000 watt generator.

Carl, I would really urge you to install a transfer switch for your inverter. I actually have 2 in our class B. They are fully automatic. As an engineer I did not have to learn the hard way that the inverter can't be used to power the battery charger.😊 My 2 switches work this way: The first is connected to shore tie and generator. If shore tie is connected the switch goes to shore tie, if not, the switch is lined up to generator. The output of first switch goes to second switch. If either 110 source is present, that source is connected, if not, it is connected to the inverter. The battery charger is fed from a branch circuit off the first switch, so it cannot be powered unless generator or shore tie connected. So one thing this does is power my entire 110v panel off the 2000 w inverter, but there are loads that I need to cut off or the inverter would overload. I put red and yellow labels on the breakers and turn those off if running on inverter (air conditioner, Hot water heater). (The water heater also runs on propane). I'd be happy to help you fix up Soli!

Hey Guys, just a little tip. That screwdriver you're using to fix the vent is also a nut driver. It has a couple sizes built in to it. You can pull the flat bit out and you will see the shaft is like a small socket. If you flip the shaft you will have another size and I thing there is a shaft then a sleeve which gives another size and then the bit. So you can use it on the hose clap and get a better tightening on the clamp then what you will get by using the flat bit. Happy Trails :)
