This is a great witness to the many who have questions about where and how their contributions are spent. Hundred of thousands of JWs and bible studies forgo some of life's necessities in order to make a contribution from their heart. By creating and showing a video of "spiritual" people at the Gods House/Bethel misusing the "Lords" belongings; mishandling literature, dancing to a worldly song about caring less about how others view you, dropping it like it's hot and making it rain stripper dance moves. This reiterates why many are fleeing from the WitchTower. The level of hypocrisy is documented. Keep showing the world what really goes on behind the curtain

I am an JW and I want to say just some facts, the video is NOT OFFICIAL from the organisation, that is why it does not appear in the official website. The initiative was taken just by individual brothers. And lets not forget that NOBODY is perfect in this world! even the most faithful ones in the bible made errors and sometimes big ones (peter, david, moses, paul, and so on). So do not come here with your speaking against the Organisation. It is well known that the people who speak against the JW are ignorant or resentful, or just fool ones. That is a fact too.

That is a fact too." See, any religion can claim to be the true religion, say that they're God's "spirit-directed organization." And when stuff happens, all they have to say is, "Well, nobody's perfect!" But don't you think that if Jehovah's Holy spirit, which is perfect, was genuinely directing the organization, that this kind of stuff wouldn't happen? The Governing Body isn't perfect. There was once an apostate serving directly on the Governing Body. What if the majority of the GB became apostate? Who do you worship? Who do you follow? God and Jesus or a bunch of imperfect men in New York?

CappyTan yes but the bible says that the righteous one may fall seven times, and he will get up again, not he will remain there fallen. It is not the same to fall, make mistakes, stand up, recognize the errors and keep to trying to be better that to be always fallen and never recognize that one is wrong for centuries. David commited huge mistakes but he stood up, with the resolution of trying to avoid to sin again. When I say this "It is well known that the people who speak against the JW are ignorant or resentful, or just fool ones" is because I have spoken with anti-JW so many times, so many anti-JW websites visited and I am totally ensure you that 90% do not have any idea what they are saying. Example? your friend maxxxworld in the comment after mine, what he said is not true, I am JW since a long time and the thing is not so. When I was young I left the organisation to see if others have the truth: politicians, science, history, psychology in english, spanish and german. I just found foolishness. My passion besides bible is the human psychology, I read so human nature books as I want. And I tell you this leaving JW knowlegde aside, many people says that JW are dumm but if you put your faith in the politicians, science, or human wisdom, you are dummer. Many people say that believing in bible you need a lot of blind faith but to believe in evolution needs more blind faith. Just turn on your tv, search the condition of the human now. The science say that we dont have more that 100 years time before our extinction.

sven White This is the problem. Singing and dancing aren't wrong. JWs however, have preached long and hard about how listening to "worldly music" and doing "worldly style dancing" are wrong. They have insisted on being "no part of the world" and being counseled against "worldly fads" which the 'Happy' videos certainly are. I personally was chewed out for having the radio on in the KH while polishing the floor, on a Saturday night with nobody there. Gov Body members have recently said JWs should focus only on the Kingdom music. There are dance moves in the video that would most certainly get a JW in trouble if they were done at a 'get together'. Butt shaking, "making it rain", and moonwalking are standouts for me. However, the hypocrisy that is above all in this to me is the fact that Pharrell said he doesn't mind people using this particular song IF they make a contribution to the "United Nations Foundation" This isn't made up. Go to Google, put in Pharrell Happy United Nations and see what pops up. Specifically look for the Rolling Stones article as it spells it out very well. Doesn't the UN carry the mark of the beast? So the uproar isn't about whether singing and dancing are wrong, but that they are being hypocritical in not staying separate from the world like they preach one should. The same thing that is a PR stunt at Bethel is wrong for the average publisher.

Again the issue isn't anything to do with having fun. The uproar is that some of the dance moves are such that would get regular 'publishers' in a lot of trouble. And that the song Happy is not only 'worldly' but the proceeds for using the song are supposed to go to the UN Foundation per Pharrell himself. JWs believe that the UN is "Satan's throne" and "carries the mark of the beast". *Even though the WTBTS belonged to the UN for years until they got caught.* One one hand you have people who believe that you can't have a birthday cake because in the Bible only bad things happened on birthdays so it must be wrong. On the other hand you have it seemingly 'ok' to shake one's butt to a worldly song on Bethel property. Again, when I was a in I got in trouble for playing the radio (country music no less) in an empty KH while I was polishing the floor. But this is perfectly fine. It is not that there is a real sin here. Half the things JWs say are sins aren't backed up by scripture anyway. The problem is the hypocrisy. If they want to make a video then it should have been "Kingdom melodies" in the background.

How sad that the organization teaches that the majority if not all those singing this song, do not have Jesus as their mediator in accordance with 1 Tim 2:5 and are not part of the new covenant which was established for the forgiveness of sins. Mathew 26:28 "This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins". How sad it is when the "other sheep" are told that they can only address God as their father as a term of endearment whereas the 'anointed' are able to address him as their father in the true sense as they are recognized as sons of God. This is why most JWs reject the symbolic blood and flesh of Jesus at their annual memorial, which should be better known as the Lords Evening Supper.
