Happy Earth Day Everyone!! I encourage anyone who sees this to get out there and do something to help our planet, people, and animals, to the best of your capability. Whether you're a fellow environmentalist, dumpster diver, or avid documenter like me, or just an average day citizen, do what you can! All effort from everybody is well appreciated and needed. Anyhow, I know I haven't uploaded in a while, and that's mainly because of one thing - technology. I was recently given a brand new MackBook Air computer from an incredibly kind neighbor, but it's taken me a while to transfer footage from my phone, which I've filmed everything on for the past few months, onto this computer to edit and upload. Now, I have all of that figured out, and I'm ready to upload much more now, and finally post all of the footage I've been accumulating over the past months. I'm still very happy to see the support my channel has seen since my last upload, which was my 500 Subscriber Special - and look where we are now! 600+ Subscribers! Thank you for continuing to view my videos and subscribe to the exposing our waste community, I appreciate it! :D
This past Tuesday/Wednesday, I was biking around my town as I typically do, checking for contamination in bins, rescuing good things from the trash, and finding the rarity of good sorting. When I passed by this house, I just couldn't help but realize how perfect their entire setup was - all 30/20 gallon Toter carts (the smallest size possible for each stream!), clean, thought out sorting in each bin, and to make things better, they even left out the usable things for anyone to take! Most, if not all, of the other houses in my area would simply just throw everything good straight in the trash, without thinking twice. Overall, I just had to point out this work - it's exactly what we want to see every bin looking like! (The Bay Area has fairly advanced composting and recycling rules, so we can accept a lot of things in those carts here that places elsewhere can't.)
So, thanks for watching, and again, Happy Earth Day! Make sure to sort our your waste properly, and 'leave out' anything good! Have an amazing day! :D
