It's a complete mystery to me why this show wasn't successful. David Caspe is so brilliant to create these fantastic characters and the actors are perfectly cast. I would put Max Blum up there with the best sitcom characters ever.

this proof that the comedy was more than sight gags but actual jokes that made this show really good. them just reading this was just as funny as watching this happen on the show. this is a show that really needs to come back for a few more seasons. this was comedy at it's best just abc wasn't promoting it. instead they were more focused on modern family and a few other shows while happy endings was under promoted and moved around a couple times.

Same here. In New Zealand, it was aired on tv at 11:30pm.. I mean no one is gna stay up that late for tv but i was lucky enuff to be awake wen it was on one night and i always caught it after that. Then eventually watched all seasons and found out they cancelled it. Super mad and i was super hooked. Great show.

I watched this show religiously when it came out and was happy to find a comedy that was so fresh and actually funny. then when season three ended and it was announced there'd be no more seasons, I was Shook! Never quite understood why it was cancelled. This table read alone proves how good the writing and casting was. Such a gem.
