I've needed to listen to polka music for three days just to de-stress myself from the 15 nightmarish calls we received on Saturday night, all of which were the result of several crimes. I'm a paramedic, who listens to polka music to manage my stress. You CAN'T be unhappy listening to some of these songs. They uplift a person.

The late Baron Joseph Dabrowski used to do a Polka music show on radio station WTUX out of Wilmington, DE that I used to listen to, he played a lot of Happy Louie songs, Frankie Yankovic during the late 1960’s/early to mid 1970’s. I also used to listen to a lot of Polkas in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area when I would visit my late paternal grandmother in Pittston, PA.

Very true, especially the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area in Scranton, Avoca, Moosic,Old Forge, Taylor,Duryea,Kingston,Wilkes-Barre,Nanticoke,Ashley,Pittston Junction area where my late paternal grandfather grew up. I could just go on about my most favorite part of Pennsylvania. It was July,1964 in Pittston when I spent a few weeks with my late paternal grandmother when I first heard Polka music and I still love it at 65, going to be 66 next week. My favorite Polkas are the Daylight Polka played by Tyros2 as a tribute to the Southern Pacific Daylight train, The Pennsylvania pPolka which is the official state song of Pennsylvania, Hupaj Siupaj, Choo Choo train Polka.
