i absolutely Love what happened to this song.....One man finally puts out a song that's not about sex,or drugs,or sadness,or politics...he puts out a song with no special effects,which speaks about clear Happiness, the one you get when you walk out on the streets in summer,smelling flowers and feeling the warmth of the sun on your face,and you say"i'm happy today"....and the whole world responded to that,saying in One Big Voice,what we all want...we want to be Happy!!!!

This is amazing. He made a song that would change people's life. More artists should make songs like "Happy" because it put everyone in a good mood. This record has touched people's lives all over the world. Pharrell made a lot of money from this song, the media plays it on the television, radio, it hit the billboard charts, and fans are making their own video to it and to me thats the most amazing thing in the world that you can make a song about being happy no matter what you go through and to make good music. Even though, he hasnt made a lot of he's own albums because he was doing music with other artists and groups, this is by far an accomplishment. This is a gift to him.!!! thank you Pharrell!

Not an Oprah fan at all, but I've liked Pharrell since "Frontin" was a hit back in 2003. I can relate to his emotion here. After 10 years on a shelf, I took one of my most personal songs to the studio and finished it. When I heard the studio cut for the first time, I just started crying. Musicians usually have a strong emotional bond with their music. To sit and watch thousands of people across the world singing your song - and getting something positive out it - had to be a very emotional experience for him.

Nothing to be ashamed over. Crying is when your brain has to shunt neurochemicals out of circulation so it doesn't overload. That's why neurotransmitters are found in tears. It's not a sign of weakness, it's an artifact of a deep connection. If seeing all these people operating on a single wavelength brings you to tears, then you should feel lucky that you are capable of reaching that wavelength too.
