Wow congratulations on your new sewing/embroidery machine! It’s gorgeous! And the hoop is so big. I have an industrial Tajima Neo machine that I have when I used to have an embroidery business. You will love the big hoop as you can embroider big designs on thirsts and sweatshirts plus bigger in the hoop projects. It is so much fun. I also treated myself recently with a new Babylock Euphoria Coverstitch. I love it!

@@sewlovelywithgrace oh my yes . I sew so many knits and my new coverstitch is a dream. No skipped stitches and it looks perfect . I also use it for neck bindings as it makes them look so professional. It even works great on Double brushed poly which was giving my old machine fits

Hey Grace! How fun... a new machine!!!!!! 🥰 I have 2 BL machines: one is a Crescendo, and the other is a Jazz II sewing/quilting machine. Both of mine came with the same types of machine covers that you have, one black canvas and the other a plastic vinyl, but I don't recall which came with which. I want to take my machines in for servicing, but will do so after my move. They can be in the shop while I set up my sewing room and unpack. Thanks for mentioning where your purchased your top fabric. It's beautiful (your top)! I just love multi-colored floral fabric. I'm dying to sew something, anything! My sewing supplies are mostly boxed up awaiting my eventual move. Not in escrow yet, but just countered on 2 offers today. We shall see. Viewing appt. scheduled on Saturday. It's so crazy to have to keep your house spotless all the time. Not being able to access most of my stuff which is boxed up and in the garage is driving me crazy! Not easy living with the bare minimum of household items, like kitchen utensils and such. Had to pack as much as possible to "de-clutter" and to get a big head start since I'm the only person to get everything done. Lately, I did several small cross stitch Christmas ornaments for a little tree I hope to have in a sewing room at my new house. The ornaments aren't finished, but at least I had something I could work on. Enjoy your new BL machine! Can't wait to see what you make. 🥰

Sew very , very beautiful Grace ❤'em all , I just got me a new Singer heavy duty surgery that I sew desperately needs the booklet to , yeah , I changed & rearranged my Mccalls M8008 , I turned it into a jumper dress , also decided to place the upper front on the fold , all the way down to the fly front , the fly front will be the only zipper part of the jumper, i decided to put the zipper in the back instead of the upper part of the jumper & i don't have 1 1/2 slide buckles , sew i decided to use 1 1/2 D rings , the only difference is , the flaps of the shoulder straps will be on the inside of the jumper, which i think will look much better any way, i decided to squash the top totally that came with the pattern & decided to make McCalls M8147 , view B to go with the jumper , wish me luck good luck for the outcome ❤😂

Hi. What is the difference of your old and new embroidery machines?

My Meridian 2 has IQ Intuition Positioning which allows you to take a photo of your fabric in a special hoop and wirelessly transfer it to your machine. The image will display onscreen in lifelike color and high resolution, allowing you to position your design exactly where you want it, how you want it, every time. It also has IQ Designer where you can create your own designs with ease! You can draw on the screen, scan your favorite artwork, upload an existing file using a USB drive, or wirelessly send artwork to your machine. Your art will instantly convert for embroidery! It has 494 built in Embroidery Designs. It also has WiFi connectivity for updates. It has a huge 5.5” X 8.5” Display. My Spirit is only 3.5” X 6” Display. It also has a larger hoop size (9.5” X 14”). My Spirit can only go up to (8” X 12”). My Spirit is 12 years old with none of these features. Both are great machines but the Meridian 2 has all new technology. Those are the onlya few of the main features I’m aware of at the moment. I’m still learning more. I'm going to a 2-Day embroidery event this month to learn more about these new technologies!
