Hi, Laura My husband and I are in our 70's. Our Christmas has been like yours for many years. I buy craft supplies I don't need and he buys gadgets he doesn't need. We are very happy with that. I try to buy mine early enough that I don't recall exactly what I bought so I can still enjoy the surprise a little bit. Love the art journaling. Last year was mainly glue books for me, but this year it will mainly be art journals. Love the ideas here. Thanks. Nancy in Nevada

Three great pages Laura, I love my Carandache and I use them all different ways. I've given up on sprays, not so much for the mess as how they tend to transfer onto other pages, although I see you only use one side of your art journal. One idea for the sprays is to put your substrate into a cardboard box and spray it in there, saves going everywhere, which I tend to do lol. I sat with my mouth open at the amount of washi tape you have. I bought a box some 8 years ago with about 10 in it and I still have nearly all of it left, me and washi just don't get on. Tfs xo

Yes! They are so messy! I do have a bakery box that had a cake in it at one point that I use for spraying into. I was just gettin' messy in the new year! LOL I have to care less about making a mess and more about being playful. it's HARD for me! 😂 I did a couple of temu orders for mostly washi tape and now I have a TON and what you saw was about half 😬 I do not need any more washi tape, but I do want to use it. I don't use it near enough! Maybe that will be our next background substrate! TFW! 💜

I think paint chips would be a great budget-friendly alternative!! I love the idea! 🧡 You could watch other color cube videos and just pick out colors from your paint chips that match those in the palette being used and VIOLA! Your own color palettes! SMART!!! TFW! 💜
