Happy Pride, everyone!
Even though a majority of this video is silly and fun, I didn’t want that to be the entire take away of this video, which is why I wrote this. With everything that’s going on in the world, it’s so important that we not only speak out against LGBTQ+ hate, but that we stay safe. It’s especially crucial that we celebrate this month and everyone who’s fought for our rights. We must uplift and cheer for people who identify as LGBTQ+. Support and love those around you. Whether you’re out and proud or not, you’re absolutely valid and loved. I’m so proud of you. You deserve unconditional love, support, and happiness. Do your best to keep your mind and your heart healthy. Most of all, be proud of who you are!

the end made me so emotional i almost cried :') being a trans teen is a bit difficult, and it seems specially difficult in my country venezuela, but for a moment i forgot all the bad things, and the fact that i can't come out to my parents or other people, i felt so touched and so happy to know that there's people like gerard who support us and love us, and people like you who reminds us that we are so loved (thank you so much for all the people who've commented nice things to me, even if i don't reply personally, i hope you know how much it means to me to know there's people who are willing to support me even without knowing me personally) edit: sometimes i come back to this video because the ending part is so genuinely comforting, i still don't lose hope in a future in which i get to be the person i've always wanted to be

i got into mcr the year i first realized i was a lesbian and it’s been five years and they’re still my favorite band in the entire world. i’m so grateful for the band’s love and support for the queer community even when it was so especially taboo, it really helped me while i was coming to terms with my identity. also gerard has always been openly queer and having seen them discuss their struggles with their gender identity throughout his career makes me feel kind of seen, even if i don’t struggle with gender in the exact same way. thank you for this compilation. it’s a nice reminder of my queer roots.

As a non-binary teen, the ending made me cry. My family is Christian and I don’t have many friends. I’m kinda a nerd. I like comics and other shit that the kids at my school think are weird. Gerard and MCR got me through my Suicide more than 9 times. I am so thankful for them.

Currently, the only thing keeping me going is knowing that there are amazing people out there, people like Gerard, Mikey, Frank and Ray, people who support people like me. Being a gay trans teen isn't easy, but knowing that people like Gerard are out there is enough to get me through another day. I cried at that ending. MCR is just... the best humans on this planet.

crying over that last video at 3 am as a trans dude the way they mean so much to me... i've had many idols in my life but no one has made me feel as cared for and safe as they do i found them when i was 13, 2004, caught the helena music video on tv and i haven't stopped loving them since, it's like my love for them kept on growing even through the years i wasn't so up to date with what they were doing (which is why i had never seen any of those beautiful videos) being 30 now and looking around at people that are close to me i realize now how many trans mcr fans are out there, and that alone speaks for itself and while the phrase "i wouldn't be here without them" is common between us who love mcr i just know that every single time that phrase is spoken is a 100% honest these dudes saved my life so many times, can't imagine life without them

@scoiattolosabbioso4420 gerard said he doesn't like labels, said that he always identified somewhat with the female gender and always struggled with gender identity. he also said he prefers he/they pronouns. he hasn't said what he identifies as, but i believe he has made it clear he's not a cishet man on twitter (the one time he said that he always identified as male, he later said on twitter that it was pretty clear he was struggling and not ready to talk about it yet at the time of that interview). though i was wrong about his actual identity.
