I really connect with Junhyung's story about school lunch and stuff. I wasn't born when my mom worked in a factory, but she told me that she did in the past. I remember when I took bulgogi to school, kids made fun of it, saying it looks like poop and stuff. I asked my mom not to give me Korean food after that day, in elementary school, all the way to high school when I decided I don't care, I just wanted my mom's food because I kept spending so much money either on crappy school lunch or crappy fast food. By then people either liked the food or knew enough not to say anything.

Why when he explains he was robbed by older korean students the cartoon shows two black people with a knife robbing two korean people. sorry to say mr jackson ,i had to watch it more than thrice to make sure that i notice the discrimination in the picture. the picture shows two same cartoon character (one is white and other is colored )in the right and left side of tony.but the other character with the knife...and not like as u say two black and two white people playing the thief and victim respectively. they probably want to highlight the character in the picture showing the incident .and dont take it negatively am sure they are not trying to offend any one ...peace ..and enjoy ..;) . ps: actually i didnt notice it until u mentioned it here..

Ten nam sweetie no. try again. it's very obvious that the character looks African American and even if he weren't he is significantly darker than the other character when the story describes two Koreans in middle school. even if it weren't a black issue it's still extremely colorist. why is the darker person the bad guy? you didn't notice because these issues don't affect you in daily life. for me they do as a result you have no say in how I am interpreting the image. let's not play dumb the world and more specifically Korea is not as innocent as you think.
