The thing about Lyn is that he is so crazy good that specific aspects of his gameplay, which for other pros would bring them notoriety, goes unnoticed when it comes to him. The Koreans and Chinese call him "the perfect weapon", because he really has no weak points. He is pretty much stellar in *all* aspects(micro, macro, creativity and tactical decision-amking). Lyn has aspects that are weakER than some other top pros because it's impossible to be "the" best at literally everything, and we are talking here about the absolute top players. But he truly has no true weak points. He is World-class at literally everrytthing that makes a fantastic player. Lyn's micro is easly top #2-3 best ever, but it goes unnoticed for 2 reasons. First, because when he plays everything that he does is so stellar and nigh-flawless that his *fantastic* micro goes unnoticed. Secondly, because for the past 4 years he has been clashing with Happy at the finals and semi-finals of tournaments, who just happens to be one of the 2 or so players in the history of this game that can match or surpass his micro. For instance, Thorzain had ridiculous micro probably the best micro ever, even above Happy, and Thorzain became famous for his micro. But Thorzain's micro stood out so much because others aspects of his game play were far inferior, and he was never able to become a true World-class player(although still really, really good of course). To give another example, Bobby Fischer had the best end-game ever by far, of any chess player but no one talks much about it. Why? Because it's Bobby Fischer, probably the G.O.A.T of chess(highest ELO gap ever between a World Champion and the #2 best player for his time in chess history). When you are *that* crazy good at literally everything, fantastic but specific aspects of your game play go unnoticed. I've been watching pro WC3 since 2005, and if I had to rank all the WC3 pros for micro, it would be: 1. Thorzain/Happy 2. Thorzain/Happy 3. Lyn. 4.TH000 5. Soin. 6.ReMind.(prime) But here's the thing: Lyn probably has the best *micro* battle ever of all WC3 pros. What I mean by this is that when we talk micro, we are talking about AAPM(accurate actions per minute) + sustain. Happy has the best combination of APM + stamina ever, but he's actually not the best pure micro player. Because your micro during a battle matters a lot more, for instance, than your micro when you are cuing workers, or creeping. Happy tends to overwhelm Lyn for stamina. Happy has amazing endurance, while Lyn tends to become tired and less effective in long series. Maybe the fact that Lyn is almost 7 years older than Happy plays a role. The *precision* that Lyn micros units during a battle when he is in shape is so unreal that it looks like something that an A.I from the year 3,000 A.D would do. It is,. hands down, the best ever. I am still speechless at those 2 games when Lyn timed the cooldown of the MK's invul potion while his heroies had no HP left, and then speed scrolled surrounded him while the TC flanked from behind. Lyn just has this micro moments that make you go: "OMFG this is so f-ing stupid. This is gross, dude. Just5 stop it." And no, not even Happy can do this. Literally no one. Orc players in general have really good micro, but Lyn is the only player in the history of this game that plays Orc like it's *meant* to be played. What I mean by this is that Orc is not like the other factions in WC3 like Elf and Human where you can play big picture games from the get-go. Orc is the most DOTA-like race in WC3, a race that relies mostly on speed, agility and timings, and is the most reactive race in WC3 because it's the only race that can't tier 1 expand and lacks strong casters and air(mass wyvs only works Vs UD, and is still a desperate build) Lyn is the one player EVER that has the combination of finger + mental agility to play Orc like the race was supposed to be played . Orc is about micro(because Orc units are expensive and high food value and in the case of wyvs fragile and give lots of exp, so every one counts), speed and above all timings, and Lyn is the only player ever that plays Orc like Blizzard designed the race to be played at the highest level. If you look at Grubby, he was an S-tier god at his best, but he relied on his uncanny tactical adaptability, creativity and laming to win and never quite reached the speed, accuracy and reaction time that you need as an Orc player to beat the highest level opponents of other races in straight fights. Against Elf, a race that Orc can't lame to win(because dryad's poison slows down Orc army and Elf has the best staffing ability which makes raiding bases extremely difficult), Grubby always struggled massively against. .. What we saw here was just unreal. It's not only his speed of execution, but the *setup* of the micro. The way that he kited the fragile wyverns while at the same time putting his zerkers in perfect position individually, and then F1, F2 and F3 his heroes individually while controlling 3 other control groups at once is just completely absurd and ridiculous. How can a Human do this? You cannot really hold it against Lyn after the fight for boxing his entire army with his mouse and moving it manually with his mouse like a 1,200 MMR noob because the exhaustion that he must have felt after that absurd over-the-top setup and execution earned him the right to make a noob move.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. 4,000 MMR micro battle followed by 1,200 MMR mental breakdown. 440 APM setup and micro followed by 40 APM nooby exhaustion. Again, the ageing Gosu tends to get tired. But, yeah, after watching this, you understand LawLiet's famous saying: "Lyn is god." For those of you that want to know what it's like to watch someone that is even better than a WC3 pro playing WC3 from his pespective, here is a POV from, Lyn's stream. This is a level of play above even WC3 pros. Lok at trhe ridiclous speed, timings and acuracy. This is how Orc was meant to be played. Literally only one guy in the history of the Earth can play Orc like it was meant to be played to perfection.(please Neo/Remo allow the link. It's very tiny channel and not in compstition with you guys. Also WC3 community needs to support each other) kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqrOd32cqd6Hh9Usi=5woEdowlciInvgbm

I like the breakdown (not the hotkey grouping necessarily) but just the strategy and him explaing that raiders make more damage vs banshees etc. would be great to have more breakdowns in the future it really helps us mid players

Happy's fragile army is a glass cannon that relies on banshees putting up curse to reap its benefits. It's for naught if everything gets destroyed too quickly and undead has no more dps.

I really like this type of content! Fights go by so fast, and although Neo did an awesome job casting this one, it's hard to really appreciate all the nuances unless you slow it down. Great job Starbuck!

you must keep the blademaster at max dps. biggest way to lose team fight is to have a blade not swinging the sword because it’s in any other control group. great analysis!

Was this match in last cpl days? The only Happy Lyn match I've seen in last few days was the Dolphin cup where Happy was playing NE and the rndm heroes.. did I somehow miss this?

@VelvanTivius thx for answer, but it was Dolphin cup, and you're speaking about the match I saw. Lyn defeated Happy -->lower cup. Perhaps you misunderstood my comment, or I'm misunderstanding you...

No you’re confused because there’s multiple cups going on. You’re talking about Q Qiang Cup where Happy got completely eliminated by Lyn. This is from Dolphin Cup which just got uploaded in the last 24 hours.
