Thank you for fabric chat, book club, and box openings. Always a joy to see a new video posted. Ann Patchett book on the roster!! Big fan of her and her bookstore in Nashville. My fav novel from years ago from Ann is still A State of Wonder. Will reread it again and i hope bookclub will consider it!!!

EAST COASTERS - I have been to three retreats and had a blast at each one. Just wanted to let anyone from the east coast that is thinking about coming but might be a lone traveler as I have been. It’s hard to get flights into Spokane early in the day. One of mine got in at 10 o’clock at night. I was concerned about getting to the hotel I booked right by the airport. No reason to be worried they do have a shuttled which picked me up. The funny thing is in the light of day the next morning I saw how really close to the airport I was. I easily walked with my big suitcase to the airport. And I am old and fat and still managed. Then came the worry of finding the meet up place. All I knew was to met at a coffee shop. If you are like me and more used to larger airports I was unaccustomed to airports having only one possible coffee place. Spokane airport is really small. I guess what I am saying in this long winded post is - don’t be afraid to come to a Fabric Patch retreat, even if you are by yourself. You will make new friends, new quilts and probably a few new pounds.

I was debating that same thing - I'll probably have to go on the wait list since I won't be able to "book" any time until March.

I stayed at the Ramada by Wyndham but there are a couple of hotels right by the airport.

The Autopsy of Jane Doe is a supernatural horror movie. I have to google everything before watching a show or movie or reading a book. So I don't freak myself out. 😂

I googled it too! Not for me

One of my favorite movies is an older romantic comedy called “ While You Were Sleeping”. I don’t know if it is streaming anywhere, but it is really a fun one if you can find it.

Regarding the “Lessons in Chemistry” series, I think ONE of the episodes was from the dog’s perspective (if I’m recalling correctly - it’s been quite a while ago that I watched it). The dog was so cute.

I’d love to participate in your retreat season but it’s not going to happen this year! Maybe next year! If I’m able to come, I’d want to bring my husband. He supports me 💯 and is my worst enabler!😀 I know it would be a wonderful experience and we’d both enjoy it! We are full time caregivers for my 86 year old father so your retreats and vacation time for us is on hold for now. We don’t regret that but wish my sisters would step up and help just a little bit! Thank you for Wednesday mornings, I always look forward to them! I’d love movie suggestions! Honestly, the only thing my father wants to watch is sports and I’m kind of over it!!! Bring in a movie club!!!😀

Samaritans purse is always a reliable place to donate to not a fan of some of the other cross ones My son is a firefighter paramedic in Costa Mesa. He hasn’t been sent yet so if his team has, however it’s catastrophic for California. We already pay way too much for everything. I’ll get off my soapbox now. Love you guys.

Hi Gals. Just looked at the retreat signup page and you have the Summer retreat the same time as the Embroidery retreat. I am guessing the summer one should be in summer? Not Sept 11-14 as shown. So sad missing a retreat this year but am looking forward to the cruise.

Is the Summer Retreat in June or Sep? Two different dates on web-site.

In regards to movie watching, hubby and I also have trouble hearing all the words spoken….so we put on the words at the bottom of the screen (closed captions/subtitles).

❤ hanging out with you. Wish I could do a Retreat this year with you. Unfortunately my budget this year is not allowing me any discretionary spending. My 2025 goal is to sew from my stash only. See you for a Retreat in 2026 🎉🎉🎉

Love watching you guys. I thought it was so funny listening to you talking about the movie!! I happen to love scary movies and I liked that movie. I’m sure I’m probably in the minority. I only read ghost stories and FBI stories about catching serial killers. That’s why I’m not in book club. I will just keep watching you and getting a good laugh😁.

Good book suggestion…the Cobbled Court Quilt Series by Marie Bostwick A single thread, book one,on Audible. Movie on Netflix The Six Triple Eight. The book? Made me a quilter. The movie? I was in the Army and I was a postal worker. Got out, became a letter Carrier for the USPS for 44 years. This is about mail and the WW2 soldiers who couldn’t get mail from home…Both very positive! I’m a conservative Christian quilter…
