That was sweet! And with all due respect to John and Yoko, I wish my local radio stations were playing your cover instead of the original. The original sounds to me like someone approached John Lennon and said, "Hey, you and Yoko ought to sing a Christmas carol", so he just came up with it off the top of his head and said, "OK, here's your Christmas carol." It's simple, and it's kitschy/catchy earworm material, but there's nothing particularly interesting about it and it doesn't showcase his talents. Your interpretation has dimensions to it while remaining faithful to the simplicity of the original, sounds like you really cared about it and has an authentic holiday sound. And the video looks truly classy. Brava!
