@@VSkyloI’d say try to throw in such a way that you create a rhombus once you retrieve your harpoon. I used to try throwing the harpoon perpendicular to where I wanna go, but it only got me so far and the shape of the abyss is like a right triangle; the abyss is only large at the “corner” created when I threw the harpoon and moved away from it, the rest is narrow and can be easily escaped.
