Things you might not know about Ireland:. Britain occupied Ireland for over 800 years,, still does in the North. It planted English and Scottish settlers in the north of Ireland in the world's first geopolitical engineered region to outbreed the indigenous population. It wasn't a famine, it was a genocide.. Meat, wheat was being exported to Britain to feed their industrial revolution while the natives stripped of their land ownership couldn't afford rent to English landlords. So they had to grow the one crop that could be grown every year, until it failed while a blockade stopped foreign relief Ireland's vast forests were cut down to build English navy ships and caskets for the north American colonies and to flush out the Irish that flush out the Irish that fought the invaders. Irish language the oldest vernacular language in western Europe was banned. Ireland's Neolithic monuments are over 5,000 years old, many destroyed by the British during their ordinance surveys

There’s also a town called Kilmore in Ireland which I like to think is about killing moors who enslaved the Irish, there was this entire coastal village in Ireland that got enslaved by the moors and was left abandoned for decades afterwards.

Ireland is the whole island, comprising the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland ( which is part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland ). Ireland was under rule, to greater or lesser extend, from Britain since 1166, NOT for the last 120 years.

Well, you should be offended by your own. The Irish named the townland 'Cill' (church) Briotáin (Britain), meaning 'Briotáin's church' (Britains church) because most towns are built up around churches and monasteries and it was a Prod area. It was the British that called it 'Killbritain'. Anglo Irish you see..Neither English nor Irish but fully stupid I guess.
