The reason they kept holding the Lisa E is because it is the only part of her kit that generates energy. Her tap E does not generate particles, and the whole generates five particles. It also applies 3U of electro, so it instantly removes any Pyro aura Bennett can apply.

Yeah man I struggle to keep 3 mirrors 4 times and he was keeping 3 mirrors for 6 times 🥲

@@tofayelahmed3966 You have to burst, normal attack until two mirrors have shot out, skill, normal attack until two mirrors have shot out again, charge attack after that 4th spray and attack until you lose the 3 mirrors. If you skill plunge after burst, that's why you don't get 3 mirrors for very long.

Lisa actually lowers enemy DEF by 15% when hit by her Burst so she was pretty good support for that alhaithem to hyper carry

Book trick has some other uses apart from energy: Some timers like ICD on enemies and character switching cost continue to tick while the game is in stasis from the book. This means that, as in the gameplay against ASIMON with Bennet, you can not only get energy but instantly switch characters again whilst resetting some of the ICD on the boss. Other timers like the abyss timer are genuinely paused. I am not sure how the team evaluates time, but I would certainly include "book times" as well.

I'd like to add, the book technique is used to catch the free particles instantly to the on field character, so that they can have their energy while efficiently switching between the characters. Great showdown, kudos to both the participants and commentators!

1:34 just being a pendant here but theres at least 3 characters who mess with HP before fontaine! xiao was actually the first character to play with HP (he drains his over time) hu tao came after! kuki also sacrifices HP whenever she heals (probably the closest to fontaines mechanics)

Interesting concept, can't believe I only knew about it today. I think using the book should have their clock continue ticking while paused. That way, it'll be a strat worth learning for energy wise but having a drawback through the time loss/spent while booked.

The other thing to note about Lisa's skill, is that you *must* do the hold to generate energy. Tapping her skill doesn't generate any particles.

whenever you start an abyss floor you get to choose between 3 cards which generally buff your characters or give you a bonus. the competitors are banned from taking offensive cards like ones that buff crit rate and dmg for example

the energy particles still travel to you even if you pause the game (except on cutscenes iirc), so opening the books saves you some time waiting for the particles

This was fun to watch. It’s not all about 5 stars. Carnivy had more, however TacticalNuke had a bit more synergy with their team. And that Bennett pick really helped. I thought Barbara would be the pick but Burgeon and Quicken surprisingly worked very well. That Alhaitham Crit Dmg tho was insane
