To say that this song has become my absolute favorite by HFTS is just an understatement. It's more than just a song for me. Been looping this one over and over again as it becomes my catharsis. One of the best metal songs i have ever heard,let alone post black metal stuff. This is just pure gold. Thank you so much, HFTS. My favorite band, handsdown. :)

There was... -but these rivers… …they refused to run dry. (The description of sadness and how it is seemingly endless ,rivers as tears that never run dry, no matter how sad you get there is no end to it . The feeling of helplessness. I think this is the general theme of the song

Actually, it's about suicide. The songwriter proclaims himself as the river and that it won't go dry. Or that's how I get it because I too am killing myself daily with my poisons.
