This is one of the best videos in every aspect which I have seen of the city of Hre. I understand why some years ago - in Byo whilst awaiting the arrival of her majesty Queen Elizabeth II & the late Prince Philip - at the Byo City Hall (her last visit to Zimbabwe), we were chatting to 3 African diplomats wives each from Kenya, Ghana & Nigeria - who told me - compared to other African countries up north, Zimbabwean cities were so clean/organised, developed & properly administered, they felt as though they were in a Western first world country. **Scores of Australian travellers that travelled via a lorry from North Africa to South Africa were surprised and thrilled when they arrived in Zimbabwe because they could indulge in the things they were accustomed to ie. *Eat in any restaurant without having the runs; *have their hair done up in a decent hairstyle salon; *have a manicure and facial; *have a choice of inexpensive hotels, hostels, inns etc etc - something they had done without for weeks in African countries to the North. 👍

Salieu Jallow, that was shortly after Zimbabwe got global recognition with British consent. When Zimbabwe/Rhodesia was virtually still impeccably manicured from prior to world recognition. The word 'independent' is deliberately omitted because Rhodesia was administered & run as an independent nation/country by the Rhodesia Front government before the country was handed over to Robert Mugabe's Zanupf Party which - all but - wrecked the economy. Mugabe thanked Mr Ian Smith (former Prime Minister) for handing him as he put it (the jewel of Africa) beautiful country - intact. So much for the liberation of the country which saw over 5million Zimbabweans of all races & persuasions leave this beautiful country for the diaspora - for their safety & survival and/or to support their families. Zimbabwe is still suffering a hangover as a result of Mugabe's (supposed) liberation. 😐

I was born there and lived that history: sad that "liberation" should come at such a cost to a beautiful place. ☹

Apparently, you don't have to have a number plate in Zimbabwe, or do people steal them?

Hi! The current shortage of number plates is only temporary @Oleksa L.
