Thanks for the review. I just bought three of these for floor monitors. I wish they had a through output that allowed you to adjust the volume in the first one in the chain without effecting the next one. Tone settings don't get passed on but volume does using the output. Going to try them on a gig and see how it goes.

I'm glad they worked for you as floor monitors. For us, with live drums and amps, they just were not loud enough. thanks for watching and commenting!

Just picked up one these today from Guitar Center with a stand (both on sale). Using it to simply play music while my e-drum amp handles that part. I'm not part of a band and just play along with spotify playlists so I'm looking forward to test driving the 08's tomorrow while the family is out of the house. They sounded loud enough in the store and am simply looking forward to playing along with some live recordings pumped through this speaker. Fingers crossed.

For what you are using it for, it should work just fine. Let us all know how it works out after you get a chance to test it. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@rockoutvideography91 first test drive using live rock recordings was excellent. Exactly the volume was needed with some headroom to spare. Not too bright, not too muddy. Just right for my application. Was thinking I’d need a second one to round it out but this single may just do the trick.

@@Redcell6A Nice! That's really cool that they turned out to be the right choice for you. I like the way they sound and I think for a small room or venue they are a great buy for the price, they just weren't loud enough for what I wanted to use them for.

I just got a V2310 today. I'm in a small 70s rock band (drums, bass, two guitars) and I'm hoping that the ten inch speaker in the 2310 will be enough to serve as a floor monitor. Your review was very helpful; thank you!

Thanks for watching the video and taking time to comment! Let us all know how it works out and what your set up is. I assume you guys are playing with a full drum kit, so I'm sure there are a lot of folks who want to know if it's loud enough

Speaking of which I have a v2310 and I just got through doing a outdoor sound test, and I scoot back like 80 ft away and I only have the master volume on 3:00 and 1:00 and it's still pumping loud and I have the bass on 12:00 and they still kicking bass. 💯💯💯

@@DJShuffle07 Thank you for posting this- this is a helpful description of SPL relative to speaker size, especially for those of us that don't perform 'out' and only use these with modelers, etc.

I have one of these and I used it as a monitor for my acoustic duo. We don't need a lot of volume but we had to really turn this speaker up to about 3 o clock just to hear them. I've heard that the 10" speakers are much louder. For the price I really can't complain though.

I ended up exchanging them for the V2312s. We have been using them as monitors at band practice and gigs. They are plenty loud enough. I would recommend people skip the 10's and go to the 12's. Thanks for watching and commenting!

hey man would this speaker work good as a drum monitor to be able to hear the whole band playing while playing the drums ?
@rockoutvideography91
@rockoutvideography91 Ай бұрын
Thanks for watching and commenting. It may be loud enough if you keep it close. Everyone's room is different and acoustic drum volume depends on factors such as the size of each drum and how hard you hit it.

When you played the bass on the speaker, were you using a modeler (Helix, AX FX, Neural DSP, etc)? If not, do you think the speaker would have sounded better with having a cab sim/IR on it?
@rockoutvideography91
@rockoutvideography91 Жыл бұрын
I had the bass plugged in straight without my pedal board. Using my sansamp and my compressor makes a huge difference with my TC Electronics BG250, so I'm sure it would have improved the sound through this speaker as well. The bass needs to go to my Luther for a set up. You may have noticed some frett buzz when I was playing

It would have been nice to have at least a 2 band eq on ch 1 & 2. Actually, I would need a mid eq as well.

@rockoutvideography91

Absolutely! Because it's a powered speaker, you don't need an amplifier, just a mixer with outputs. You can use these as your mains, or as monitors

A suggestion. Go to in ear monitors. You don't need the $1000 custom made ones. Amazon has some nice ones for $50. Run cables from a headphone amp to to each band member. Now, if you move around a lot on stage, you'll have to get a wireless system which can be pricey.We stay put on stage so this works for us. It is a game changer.It will also save your ears. We measured dB levels of 125 in our band room pre-IEMs at one point. Hearing loss starts at 90. It also eliminates a potential feedback source. Again, just a suggestion. Great video, thanks.
