Wow, it looks great. I wanted the 60-inch but didn't like the light colors. I was amazed that they had a 72-inch with the option I wanted. Interestingly enough it was $20 cheaper than the 60 in, not sure why. I took a chance and bought it, and your video was very helpful. Thank you.

I just installed this same fan today and i had to walk away from that outside circle of brackets, i just got too frustrated with them. But i think i see how to do them now thanks to your video! Wish me luck for when i try again tomorrow. 😊

Did you secure the silver safety cable? If yes, where? TIA. Also, did you hang your fan on a UL Listed box? Is this enough to hold this fan?

On the 2 of these we installed so far (still have one to go) we were replacing existing ceiling fan s that were attached to "ceiling fan boxes" like are sold in home improvement centers and hardware stores. They are more robust than a typical electrical box in order ro support the wight and vibration of a fan. Both of our install had the boxes secured to the rafters and I connected the rafter as well with a wood screw. I'll be honest I've never looked at an electrical box to see if they are UL listed.

Stupid that they dont throw the blue wire in with this fan. Have 2 seperate switches for light and fan that are now useless. Have to use the remote for the light. Which is all well and good till ya lose it. Pretty cool to look at though

I’ve been installing this fan for about 3 days. 2 hours my a$$! Did you have issues with the part where you’re securing the canopy to the mounting bracket? It seemed that you did but didn’t say anything. (Yes I went to that part and watched for any reaction!) I’m supposed to loosen one mounting screw and remove the other. They won’t budge! I’m afraid I’m gonna have to start over again! Btw, my issue is compacted by the fact that I used the short downrod that came with it so there’s no room for even the tiniest screw driver. Who designed this?!?

Hollie, Sorry for the delayed response. Yeah that cover is not great. We have installed 2 of 3 total of these fans now and fought that a bit both times. Part of it is related to how the fan bracket (that supports the weight) attaches to the box in the ceiling. On this one the box is on the logs and it was harder. I ended up removing both screws and then carefully inserting them in and tightening just enough so the cover looks good. That may be your key just getting them snugged up enough with your fingers so it looks good(it is after all just to make it look good). Alternatively (and I considered this on ours but ultimatly didn't do it) go to the hardware store and get some screws that match but are longer and get some nuts and washers. Then use the longer screws to make "studs" (by cutting the heads off) that are threaded into place so you can then slide the cover over them and secure it with the nuts. A sharpie can then be used to color the nuts black so they are less visible.

As Hollie statred it comes with a remote. We just leave the wall switch on all the time and use the remote to control the fan and and light.

Generally speaking that is cause by inbalance. Is one of the blades damaged or have something stuck to it? If not contact I'd contact Harbor Breeze and ask them.

According to the box, the whole thing is 30 lbs and the fan itself is 25.75 lbs.
