Yes, TY!!! All the youtube videos said to cut the power, 60 seconds to set remote, blah, blah blah. Battery was low so I put new battery in & blue lite came on, but no fan or light activated. Did exactly as you said, pressed learn & light simultaneously & voila!!! Remote working again!! 🎶Sisters are doing it for themselves🎶

This is the ONLY video or troubleshooting instructions that instruct you to hold the light button while you hold the learn or reset button. Was about to give up until I saw this video. Tried it, worked right away. Good as new! Thank you for posting this!

Thanks so much for this video! If anyone else has the same problem I did, with 2 fans wired to the same light switch but with different remotes, get a friend, or your kids to help. You have to get far enough way so that the reset only reaches one fan. Took me about 30 minutes of moving farther and farther away, switching remotes I was resetting, before we got it fixed.

Thanks for the video it got my outdoor fan working again. Was frustrated because I bought new batteries and it worked for a hot second then not. My method was a little different from your's. I have the four numbers in red on my remote and a learn button. I first turned the power source (wall light switch) off then back on. Within 30 seconds of turning it on, I depressed the learn button with a pencil and the light button simultaneously. The fan light flashed and I quickly pressed the power button on the remote. Hope this helps those with my remote. 🤞🏽

Thanks much! I had the toolkit out to start disassembling the fan and came across your video at the last minute. You saved my Saturday! There was one additional step I learned on another video. You need to turn the power switch to the fan off, press the Learn button and then turn the power back on. The light on the fan should blink to confirm the remote connection is reset.

This worked for me too. I shut off the power to the battery pressed the reset button and the power button turn the power back on, then pressed the reset button which says learn. And it finally started working.

My remote is identical to yours but I have a question. There's a blue backlight behind the words "harbor breeze". Does it ever turn off or stay on all the time? Mine stays on and afraid it's running my battery down.

Mine has little numbers with a "Learn" button and although the remote light comes on, the fan won't work. Back to Amazon.

Luana, I recently inherited a Harbor Breeze ceiling fan in a home sale. I as well am having difficulty resetting my remote however, I have a remote with a slide switch with 4 numbers (not a reset button). Did you come across any troubleshooting for this type of remote?

The 4 sliding switches you are speaking of are likely the signal / frequency setting. Doesn't matter what combination you use as long as it matches however you set it on the remote receiver located in the fan or fan canopy.

If you watch this but have numbered switches inside, it may be those. My remote has 4 small switches inside instead of that reset button showed here. The 2 switch was up while the others were all down. I switched the 2 down and accidentally pressed a fan button on the other side as well. Fan started to run on low.
