Harbor Freight 21 Gallon 2.5hp 125psi air compressor

Good household machine. You can buy one for $149.99 if you wait for the super coupon to come out. Works ok for impact wrenches and smaller things Has a rating of 4.7 SCFM @ 90PSI and 5.8 SCFM @ 40PSI.

i changed all the shitty valves and gauges. upped my pressure. and added a 25 gallon propane tank for more volume. i have zero problem painting with it now. and i run it daily. i do mean daily for over 5 years now.

i don't care how loud it is / this compression is a work horse !!!! and it's very odd that you can't find them for sale for the great price i paid 170.00 5 years ago !! iam so happy i got one . i wasn't ready to shell out 600.00 for the same comparable model by a big name nope !!

*After years of hauling around a large,💫 **allabout.wiki/PORTER** heavy, loud dewalt air compressor (that ironically was advertised as quiet, supposedly 78dB), I bought this. Facepalm. While it is not ‘silent’, I find myself chuckling every time I use it, sparing all my neighbors the terror of my former compressor. I use for inflating tires, impact wrench, finish nailers. Absolutely love it. And I store it under the garage sink in a 24” cabinet. I paired with a coil 1/2”, instead of a my former 50’ 5/8” hose that I had to lug across the yard from the shed, unpleasantly uncoil.... this little guy is light and portable; just a joy. Impact wrench is still capable of easing lug bolts, flywheel bolts, crank pulleys... just allow for a tiny bit of recovery now and then.*

The air filter sucks and this is a loud compressor. I wish I had bought a bigger one now. I have used it to paint a car and power a lot of power tools works good does the job but just wished it was bigger

I have a shop force sf2500 and it leaks oil out of the oil filler cup. I took the head off and the reeds are now cleaned and no apparent damage. Could spring in cap be malfunctioning or need new reeds and metal gasket?

tom purcell: You could have worn out piston rings causing blow-by pressuring the case and forcing it out the weakest point. I hope this helps. TTR

There should be two gauges on compressor. Above the gauge on right is the regulator adjustment knob it's black and round, turn it all the way to the right. Bingo!

You can't use any extention cords with this thing. I've had a hard time getting it to start the first time when it's cold. I've thought of putting a capacitor on it I'm pretty sure that would fix it. I probably have close to 100 hours one it. If it broke tomorrow I wouldn't complain.

I bought this same unit based on good reviews around the web, this thing sucks. It takes like 4 minutes to pump up and it kicks back on pretty quickly, it cycles even with the lightest use. This is a very light duty unit and not for anything other than VERY light use. It's crazy loud and pretty weak.

Avalanche2 Yea it's built for light home use. If anyone is going to try to run a shop where air is used all the time it's not built for that.

Avalanche2 I've had one for a couple of years now. I admit it's louder than I would like, but I do projects almost every weekend and this pump is freakin awesome... yes I admit that I turned the limit switch up from 125 to 135... and I added a shut off valve right behind the regulator, that I turn off while I'm at work or busy with something else. But all things considered (including price) I love this compressor. Yeah I admit I can't talk on the phone while it's running, but for $150!! COME ON MAN!!! You gotta love this little jewel. and mine has a paper filter. .. so not sure what's up with that

This is an awesome deal of an air compressor! Does all of my automotive projects at home with ease! Hardly ever hear the motor kick in.
