I bought the same thing too. You can pull a trailer with it but you cannot back-up a trailer with it without it swiveling on you. You will have to tack weld it to the Hitch adapter plate of the ATV

Bought it. Modified it so it won't swivel every time I hit the brakes. Not bad for $9 with a coupon at my local HF

If the trailer is riding low, you can flip that reciever and put the ball on right side up again

I bought this for my Samurai. No towing, just for a bike rack and a carrier. Works great. I did not have the issues this dude had. I would have taken it back to HF and got a good one without the problem as described.

My dad has one on his brute force and I had a trailer just a tad bigger then the one u have and had a empty yard roller on it so under the weight the atv can carry and under what the hitch is rated for and I hit and bump and bent it right down il just spend the extra money at Honda for my 680 so that problem doesn't orrur

I have one just like that on my Polaris and it's good the only problem is if you tow a heavy load the thing wants to go to the right and left and it makes it back enough difficult that's why you have to put the thing on tight as heck but I wouldn't doubt using it I enjoy using it with a trailer hitch and towing around smaller trailers which a four wheeler ain't really made to tow big trailers that's where you had pickup trucks

I can understand the appeal of a receiver on your wheeler but that assembly along with the hitch puts the weight out on a long lever, all to be supported by a single bolt on the factory flange. If you're lucky you will just bend the flange. There's a chance you'll break your axle housing. Careful.

I bought 3 of them for all three of our quads and the darn thing swivels side to side even when tightening down super tight! I suppose I could have hubby tack weld it to the quad then it would stay. The other issue is that I would like it a little higher.

That's hitch isn't gonna work. It has a drop and what you need is a hitch with a 3 inch lift at min. Your trailer isn't gonna hook up and if it does its gonna be too low

i wouln't recommend these, look at strong made hitch receivers
