I bought saw blades off Amazon that were not made for this rotary tool. Unfortunately, there was kick back and the attachment bent. In the instructions it says to only use Bauer attachments. I was disappointed.

I appreciate your demonstration of of the tool and following up with the breakdown inside it. I have a few rotary tools and have had to clean the inside fairly often to prevent the tools from breaking down quickly. Thank you for the video, it's very intuitive and I hope you could check out the Chicago Electric 1/4hp rotary tool with flex shaft ANSI/PGMA G300-2018 standard

Like most of HF tools, it looks good for light use if you need it now and then. I got my Dremel plug-in for my go-to but I may pick this up for light use since it's battery powered.

Glad to see that it has a USB port even if it is just micro. The screwdriver has a barrel connection for charging but I was able to convert the brick end to USB type 2 fir charging it

@@MotorCityMetalArt Have you tried to charge it with another USB cable? It seems to only want to charge with the provided one, which makes it no better than a barrel connection.

@@deuswulf6193 yep you are absolutely right. If I recall the power supply is like 9 volts. So using that connector is pointless. Especially since micro USB is a terrible connector to begin with.

It's good for light duty projects and that's it. I bought it for making Alcohol Stove's out of soda cans.

I've used it a fair bit for crack repairs on aluminum engine casings for 4 wheelers. Works great.

man i don't know why they didn't made it to charge with a regular 5v charger i lost its charger and i have bunch of 5v that fit it but don't charge

Yes they do this tool has an 1/8" collet and the plastic ring is removable to fit dremel accessories that use it

Are the batteries easy to replace? You showed the two 18650s but do you think they're relatively simple to replace?

I wouldn't say the batteries are easy to replace. The batteries are attached to a nickel plate that's spot welded to the battery. You can take apart and solder wires onto the cells but you need to be very careful not to overheat the battery. There are a lot of informative KZbin videos on soldering wires to an 18650

I just bought this and cannot figure out how to change the tool. If i ipen it up and take out the original brass fitting the other items swim in it. If i leave the original fitting in there my tool wont fit in it. I thik you said there shoukd be a mandrel in this kit so i can change it I think that may be missing

The brass piece is a collet. You need to pull the tool out of the brass collet and slide another in. The collet size is 1/8"

Found out the hard way that other micro-usb cables will NOT charge the damn thing. What's the point of having a usb port, if you can't charge it with any USB power source? It defeats the purpose.

Not 100% on the flex shaft attachment but all of the other accessories I tried do. To use the flex shaft you need to remove the collet nut. So as long as the nut is the same thread it will work.

Hey I bought one and it's great. Except the motor gets hot. None of my dremels ever ran hot like that. The Bauer doesn't have cooling fans like the dremels do. Does yours get warm with just very light use?

I have not noticed any abnormal heat with just light use. But I have only used it very lightly so far. There is a fan on the motor but that it.

@@MotorCityMetalArt Yeah I'm working out here in 100 degree weather so. Combined with the fact there's no cooling fans and it gets warm very quickly but I wouldn't say it gets too hot. I'm keeping it. It's absolutely perfect for quick cutting and grinding jobs. Also, a cool tip: If you hold the button down you can gradually adjust the speed.

Returned it to get a 12 volt model instead. That extra 4 volts makes all the difference. I'll never mess with an 8 volt again. Plus now I have replaceable batteries.

@@MotorCityMetalArt haha, cheapest one I could find. Just to try it out. Tacklife RTD03DC from Walmart for 38 bucks. And totally honestly, it's blowing my mind. It's so smooth, has better ventilation, the battery status screen seems accurate and it also shows the speed in increments of 1000. I already found replacement batteries on eBay. I originally intended to eventually buy a cordless Dremel but I really like this thing.

Not a screw driver but you can get the special chainsaw sharpening attachment/bits that will work on this
