I am careful to buy only a few items at Harbor freight. My wife more than makes up for it. She has a number of moving dollies. She uses them for moving items all the time. She had given them to friends to have too. She bought the silver tarps for school. Kids paint and the room is clean. Thankfully they don’t sell pink tools.⚒️

HF gets me every time! 😆 I retired as a marine (boat) mechanic years ago, and sold all of my Snap-On/MATCO tools and Snap-On boxes. I have a home shop, so I have been stocking it up with cheaper offerings such as Gear Wrench, Tekton, and ICON. I have been pleasantly surprised with the ICON line, and I have not had any problems with their tool line. I have that same set of wrenches, and I really like them. Great vid!!

Nice Harbor Haul! I have been shopping HF for 10 years and I still get sucked in to buying extra stuff,too on occassion. Just stay away from the warrior and other real cheap lines of tools. Thanks for sharing!
@JP7Forklifts10 ай бұрын
Thank you. HF gets me every time. I go for zip ties and leave with easily $100 worth of stuff. I try to stay away from the lower line stuff but I do believe all tools have a purpose. Even the cheap stuff can get modified for certain things or sacrificed to save a better tool.
@jaydee304610 ай бұрын
HF knows you will buy on sale tools "just in case" , and count on that. Because by the time "just in case" comes around, you will have forgotten where you stashed that first tool. By then you are desperate and willing pay full price for the same tool.
@SOLIZ49erFAITHFUL10 ай бұрын
Nice info on what your haul was and being a tool nut myself, especially from this store. I have bought a lot of stuff from there and the warranties are awesome, even when buying the extended warranty. However, the prices on everything has gone up, making ICON out of my price range...they do offer upgrades on returns of tool warranty and a paying price difference.

Used to be every time I fix a car or something around the house, I calculate what it would have cost to have a mechanic or contractor do the job. I then go to HF and spend 1/4th of the balance of the money I saved on tools that would have been helpful to have for that project. I now have a good collection of tools and can do most things with what I have at hand. Every once in a while I still do that and it continues to be helpful. 👍 nice video.

My silicon trays I got there are basically just shrines to bits and small bit drivers. They look great and keep them ready but I have just keep going to my Picquic screwdrivers. The different ones have different load-outs. A torx one and the Super 8 handle everything for normal stuff.
@JP7Forklifts10 ай бұрын
I’m pretty sure you’re talking about the bit drivers with bits in the handle. If so as an elevator mechanic I thought they were great for panels and stuff cool to bring one driver and take care of a lot. On forklifts I don’t use it as much I catch myself using the 3/8 bit drivers

You paid $225 for five wrenches? (thud) I paid $32 (Black Friday) for a set of 8 flex-head ratcheting box combination wrenches in black chrome with gold ratchets and a nice cordura roll pouch. I'm happy with Workpro, and it was a better price than HFT. (shrug)
@JP7Forklifts10 ай бұрын
Great deal! I’ve seen those they’re painted black and gold. The paint tends to scratch up and rub off after a while but all in all not a bad deal. Good for basic use for sure. I did some research it doesn’t look like they have double box end ratchet similar to the ones in my video. If you know of a link please let me know I love getting tools at a good deal. Also do you know what their warranty is like? In my trade tools take a real beating so being able to replace them quickly and hassle free is HUGE.

Yeah besides the Icon and some GP hand tools they push paying for an extended replacement insurance to get a replacement after so many days. I had a Sawsall low end model and cut the cord by accident. Asked for a replacement and that was a no go because I hadn't paid for replacement insurance. Those tools you pretty much have to consider throw aways if you break them. The warranty wouldn't have covered that anyway bc I cut the cord.
