I really appreciate your review of this Hercules saw and the fit with the Dewalt stand. I've wanted to buy this saw for 2 yrs now, but thought it was too heavy for me to move around because I'm a 66 yr old female. I didn't want to buy a comparable priced smaller saw at a big-box store that can't produce the precision & repeatability that this saw can do. That stand makes all the difference for small shops like mine. Like you, I prefer to do the dust generating work outside & keep my shop cleaner for 3D printing, lazer & electronic projects. I think I'll watch for the next sales & pick up the saw & stand. Thanks again!

You are so very welcome. Being up there in age myself I was looking for something that I could easily move around. I use the DeWalt saw and stand at the Lourdes University, where I teach. The Hercules saw was as good as the DeWalt but less expensive. The bummer was that Harbor Freight doesn’t offer a stand. And I really like the stand. I saw somewhere that the DeWalt stand would work with the Hercules. And it did, with a little help from. The benefits of not only keeping the dust outside but the ability to fold it up and keep it out of the way is probably the biggest factor in my small shop. The saw no longer sits in the middle of the room doing nothing but gathering stuff and taking up space until I need it. Thank you for your comment and I believe that you will be pleased with set up. Cheers! Patrick

You are the man. Just bought this exact combo and needed to find someone else with the same idea. Thank you so much for the fix! With the HF sale recently I just couldn't buy the Dewalt saw after seeing head to head reviews vs the Hercules. For what I am doing at least, the value was just too good to pass up. Glad I am not the only one. Great concise video with some very useful info I didn't see in the instructions. That doesn't mean the info isn't in the instructions, I just find this video to much easier to absorb.

Thanks for the comment. Yep, I’m a fan of Harbor Freight. The quality has definitely improved over the years and is comparable to the big names. I also did the research and the Hercules specs were equal or better. Can’t figure out why they haven’t come out with a stand yet. So far I’m very pleased. Thanks again, have a great day. Cheers. Thanks for showing this. I'm just wondering what the height of the saw table comes to when mounted on this stand. It appears to be lower than the height of your cabinets but it is hard to tell in the video. Just asking because I'm tall and a lot of mobile stands out there are ridiculously short.

Thanks for asking. But I am out of town until next weekend. I will measure it when I get back home and will get back to you with the details. Thanks again. Cheers! Patrick

@RobertShuette - back in town and I just measured the saw. From floor to table top is 37 inches. I hope this helps. Cheers! Patrick

What model is DeWalt stand
@scottwoodresearch7 ай бұрын
Thanks for the question. The model number is DWE74911. I like this one because it seemed to have the widest base with the legs extended than others out there. Cheers! Patrick

What's the price?
@scottwoodresearch8 ай бұрын
Thank you for the question. The Harbor Freight table saw was $370 and the DeWalt stand was $160. I love them both. Being able to fold up the saw and roll it out of the way is a game changer! Thanks again. Cheers! Patrick

Well I don’t know what happened but I just got the notification of your comment. Weird. I checked it out. Didn’t see that one when I was looking. I was familiar with the DeWalt stand as it is we use at school. Thanks for the comment and I apologize for the delayed response. Cheers! Patrick

Thanks Alex. I had no reservations on getting this saw. So far it seems comparable to the DeWalt, which I use at school. Just not as expensive. I try to be frugal when I have a choice. Thanks again. Cheers! Patrick

@@scottwoodresearch definitely! I picked up the Hercules this past weekend and did a whole plywood and trim job and I was happy with it. Just disappointed you have to use another brands stand

@Alex1234845 I agree. But the cash saved on the saw made it easier to swallow the cost of the stand. It was still cheaper than if I went with the complete DeWalt setup. And of the stands out there I like the design of the DeWalt. It also seemed to have the largest footprint. The bonus is that they included brackets for other models.
