I did these upgrades and also put quick connects on everything. The pressure washer works great now and I can swap out the hose with my gas washer with ease! I also bought the spinning head to do some hydrotilling. It’s not as strong as a gas washer but still works good. Thanks!

Hey Eric good morning. I have a question for you. I am a retired professional firefighter and my neighbor across the street gave me all his gas stuff as far as ones and guns and hoses and everything a bunch of tips one that's called a turbo nozzle whatever because he was moving out of state and he said if you buy yourself a gas pressure washer for whatever reason you'll already be ahead of the game. Of course I'm in my 60s and have no plan on opening up a business. But I did go by that green Portland electric unit from Harbor Freight for cleaning my tires and my lawn mower things like that. At your convenience could you give me an idea what I'm going to need so that I can use all the guns and ones that are used for gas on my Portland which is I guess those metric threads? I have four gun handles all with quick releases and they all have that male on the bottom for the quick release of the 3/8 gas pressure washer hose and all of my ones also obviously have quick releases quick on both ends

This is a great and helpful video man. I am trying to get a little side hustle going cleaning driveways and patios etc. I did my neighbors driveway and while it worked pretty well, the limitation of the 1750 PSI was definitely something that added a lot of time. I never thought of doing these upgrades instead of springing for a new unit altogether which yeah I should do but this can maybe be the difference of me not having to. Also I HATE the hose it comes with. It never really extends fully because it’s kinda tough. And the handle is kinda weird as the locking mechanism for the trigger works whenever it feels like. I’d love something more solid, didn’t even think of it as an option until now. Thanks again! I’m kinda excited now to get back out there and use it!

The one I have works pretty good, but you just have to go very slow and do 2 - 3 passes in the same spot for it to clean effectively. I filmed some of it already, but haven't had the time yet to finish it. Hoping to have it done in 2 weeks.

Great video, quick question: I did exactly as you did with the hose and the quick connects. I can't for the live of me get the quick connects to release. They won't pull back to release AT ALL... Any suggestions or is there something I'm missing?
@FoulNews9 ай бұрын
Usually when the quick releases are stuck it's due to residual pressure. With the pressure washer off, squeeze the handle and try pulling the quick release connection off.

Do you by chance know a better soap dispenser that can work with the upgrades? Because the one the washer comes with sucks.

Yes, I use one similar to the link below. It has an adapter for the stock handle as well. The one I use is no longer available, but is basically a re-brand of this one: amzn.to/4bHY1ta

I like this setup much better than the OEM Portland stuff. I hate the stiffness of the Portland hose. I also didn't know why my machine was powering on and off while I wasn't pushing the trigger. And watching this video, I now see that I have a small leak, that I assume will get worse as times goes on. Thanks. -- 1 more question, have you found a good attachment for adding soap while pressure washing?

Did you do a quick connect for the water hose connection?
@FoulNews8 ай бұрын
I haven't done that yet, but it's a good idea!
@erictirado91909 ай бұрын
I’m a little confused why you would need an adapter for the machine. Doesn’t the pressure hose connect right to it? I bought everything you have except the adapter because I wasn’t sure if I needed it.
@FoulNews9 ай бұрын
Most pressure washer hoses and attachments are M22 x 14 and the machine has an M22 x 15 output and wouldn't connect to the hose without the adapter.

Great video, Did you have to run an extension cord to clean the other side of the fence, asking because i need to clean mine with a similar setup as yours. Thank you for your time.
@FoulNews5 ай бұрын
@@darrellshinn5983 Thanks! Yes, I was using a 25' extension cord for the video. The closest outlet was about 35' away and I wouldn't have been able to get a good filming spot without one. I was able to reach the other side of the fence without a longer cord since the hose was plenty long fortunately. A good 12AWG extension cord is plenty for the power that these draw.

Happen to know of a way to replace the aluminum hose connector? I didn't drain mine very well before putting it away for a the winter and appears it "rusted" out. I have micro holes all in between the threads. I was tempted to purchase the adapter you mention however the holes go further back than the hose can connect and I worry the adapter won't either.

Does anyone know a surface cleaner that will work with this equipment?
@FoulNews8 ай бұрын
I recently just did my driveway with a Westinghouse 15" surface cleaner. It works pretty well, but you'll have to go slow and make 2 or 3 passes with it. The biggest issue is being limited by the pressure that this pressure washer can produce, so no matter what surface cleaner you use, you'll just have to take it pretty slow. I've got a follow-up video I filmed coming out in about 2 weeks using the surface cleaner. This is the one I've got now: amzn.to/3JqLJIJ
