Harbor Freight Tape Measures - Bauer v. Hurcules - Plus Tips On Use

I have several of the Bauers with no complaints and I’d say they are excellent tapes for around the house DIY stuff. The 16ft is actually my preferred at home for its size and readability. I have yet to get the Hercules but I plan to soon. For on the job I’d trust the Fatmax or Milwaukee unless your strapped for that green stuff the Bauer will see you through if called upon.

Those things and the $1 Pittsburg tapes are cheap enough when on sale that I have more than a dozen of them scattered around the shop. As for accuracy, if you need true precision, a tape measure is NOT what you use.
