Did you know that the doctor you save in Uprising (in the stage that starts off in a very Metal Gear Solid style) is the same doctor from Contra Hard Corps? Geo Mandrake, who helps Bahamut steal the Alien Cell kept in a high security lab. The paragraph that can be read before the start of that stage in Uprising states that Mandrake is a close ally of Bahamut and was his mole/spy inside Tiberius' army, quite similar to what he does later on in Contra Hard Corps, ''working'' for the government!

Another proof to the idea is that Lance Bean himself creates his own organization called ''Blood Falcon'' and rallies troops to fight for his cause: the overthrowing of the Triumvirate. Blazblue sounds too... erh... japanese random guitar things (not Daisuke's fault, since Toshimichi Mori seems to like that kind of shit). For Guilty Gear and Hard Corps Uprising, the music sounds A LOT MORE like... you know, metal, rock, etc. More occidental. Even some of the newer BB Chrono Phantasma tracks sound more like the old Daisuke.

Friend of mine speculates that Bahamut only SEEMED evil in Contra Hard Corps, but was still a good guy all along. You know how Big Boss(Naked Snaked) seemed pretty evil in the 2D Metal Gear games but was later revealed that he was using excessive force to bring down the real evil, the Patriots? Perhaps Bahamut acted the same when he found out about the Triumvirate and the truth behind the countless alien invasions (both revealed in Contra Shattered Soldier, a year or so after Contra Hard Corps).

To be honest, I think this is better off as a one-off game or even a spinoff based off the previous 2d installments. Who's with me? If they were to place this in the Contra universe, they should at least provide some kind of special connection to the previous installments (the games that possibly took place one or two decades AFTER this installment).

@@jahmirwhite7807 This game is actually a prequel to the Genesis/Mega Drive game Contra: Hard Corps. The Bahamut in this game becomes one of the bosses in Hard Corps depending on your choices made. This is later confirmed by Bahamut himself in Contra: Return where he starts as a protagonist and turns into a terrorist.

The Bahamut in this game IS a totally different character separate from Colonel Bahamut who only appeared in Contra: Hard Corps, and the same should probably go with Bahamut from Contra: Returns since those two games (excluding Contra: Hard Corps since that belongs in the main series' original canon) probably belong in alternate timelines/universes separate from the series' original canon. Even Arc Systems mentions that he could be an entirely different individual who also goes by the name of Bahamut, with no close relation to Colonel Bahamut whatsoever since they both have different background stories, physical appearances and goals in life.
