Great video guys. Refreshing to see the attention given to the fish end of the line, not the other end like lots of others. Might head off back that way Sept/Oct for a trip down memory lane. Tight lines both

Well done on persisting and finding the fish Lloyd! 🎣 Fished Aberthaw West last Saturday and only 2 Hounds showed but that’s most certainly the nature of Hound fishing, here one tide and gone the next! Love Donats used to fish the Cliff next to the slipway over high water for the Eels
@BanditFishingUK3 жыл бұрын
Hi Butty, yes it is frustrating finding the hounds last few years we’ve been blessed with the fishing and find them most places. I’ve been eyeing up the ledges to the side of the slipway for eels. Looks nice and deep.

Hi Tony, the sea looked great I think it was too good. Really shocked on how clear the water was perhaps that was against me.
@SOMERSETBEACHFISHINGtony3 жыл бұрын
@@BanditFishingUK hi lloyd i reckon if the water stays this clean we may see some good hounds coming in and plenty of dogs and some better size rays but they may be stay in the deeper marks mate

Think you’re right about the deeper water marks. Won’t be long and I’m sure we will have a good blow to stir it all up.

Hi Lloyd just watched the video again 👏👍and realised you lost 8 sets of tackle 😲😲 time to change your rot and bottom system or should we call it the snag atrackters!! 🤔🤔
@BanditFishingUK3 жыл бұрын
Hi Simon, thanks for watching the video twice. I have full confidence in the rotten bottom clip I use, it’s a simple method it an upside down bait clip. I made 1 change to my rigs during the session and didn’t lose another end through the whole flood and that was simply changing the hook pattern to the dongle rig. It produced all 3 fish fir me on the day.
@grahamcowell71303 жыл бұрын
Great video lloyd quick question what pound breaking strain line do you use for your rotten bottoms ?
@BanditFishingUK3 жыл бұрын
Hi Graham, I use 15lb usually with a few knots in it. My main line is 24lb.
@nickepton66763 жыл бұрын
Be interested to see how you get on with the dongle rig iv used it off and on for the last 3 years with mixed results 🦈🦈🎣🎣 found it best for Ray's as it stopped deeper hooking missed alot of hounds when they weren't really having it
@BanditFishingUK3 жыл бұрын
Interesting to know, I’m unsure, not having a point hook makes me unsure with it however if it stops me losing gear so I can fish rather than sort new shock leader out and new rigs it could be a benefit. I’ve had 3 hound sessions with it and missed 1 Run from 5 takes
@nickepton66763 жыл бұрын
There is defo some mileage in it keep an open mind and put it in a vid will make interesting viewing . Great vids by the way 👍👍🦈🦈🎣🎣

How'd you find those tronix rods compared to the t900? T900 user myself, nearly bought one of those instead of my second. Went with a matching pair in the end. Just curious really.
@BanditFishingUK3 жыл бұрын
Hi Darren, I’ve sold the t900s and bought the Tronix rods instead that should tell you the quality these rods really have!! I’ve found it to be fantastic. More powerful in the top section with great bite detection.
