Last night I had a dream where I was playing Undertale and when I got to Mettaton EX this song played in PERFECT CLARITY (REALLY weird for a dream especially since it had been a few months since I've heard this) and I was surrounded by a spiral of Spamton heads and died, causing the fight and this song to restart, still playing in, again, PERFECT CLARITY. 10/10 would recommend.

Well, the thing about Mettaton is from anime, that is actually part true. Alphys showed him (or her) when he was a ghost anime. And he (or she) liked one of the characters really much, and Alphys probably said that she is going to be a royal scientist and she can make him a new body that looks like him. She made him a rectangle body first, and then named him Mettaton (because he was from metal). Then she showed him to Asgore and he thought that Alphys made a robot with soul. Asgore made her a royal scientist and then, she started to do Mettaton's body "from anime". But hey that's just a theory. P.S. Mettaton is my favourite characer frrom Undertale.

This is literally my favourite undertale song. It stands perfectly on its own and is very enjoyable without the listener knowing anything about undertale - but also pays some very nice homages to the game and character. the synth/pop hybrid is perfect, catchy and fits mettaton to a T and the vocals are perfect too.
