Thanks everyone for the crazy response on my new track. I remember making it back in January 2021. I decided to save the track for 'better times' since I felt it would fit perfectly in the Defqon.1 Endshow. 16 months later it was featured in The Closing Ritual as the first ever Defqon.1 Closing Theme, which makes me incredibly proud. For me this track shows that sometimes in life you gotta hold on, go through the shitty parts and wait for better times to come. Exactly what we did with this track. Because always remember.. we will RISE AGAIN 🧡

remember Defqon is a summer festival, so its anthem has to bring a bunch of emotions (it has to be uplifting and emotive while keeping strong), which is something difficult and more if it's the main Hard Dance festival in the world. For me, Primal Energy was an amazing anthem because it had all of that, but I gotta agree with you, this track was the most emotive track in a long time

To me this is pure perfection, the stage setting with the angelic phoenix like being, the lighting, the fireworks, the powerful music. All blended together in beautiful harmonious synergy. The theme speaks to my soul. "Learn to love the darkness, so we can see ourselves in the light", I felt these words deep into my core because this is what I'm learning right now in life during this phase of dark, intense internal struggle.
