Blue got robbed off that supposed "foul." GK fumbled it, also the ref gave him a yellow and started yelling at the captain afterwords for him asking "is it a foul?" Regardless, great video!
@lucasarzayus45053 ай бұрын
The goal was disallowed because the keeper had regained possession of the ball after fumbling it, followed by the blue player kicking it out of his hands, hence why it is a foul. The ground counts as a "third hand" for goalkeepers, hence why the keeper had possession after spilling the initial header

@@lucasarzayus4505 HAHAHAHA ABSOLUTELY NOT. gk did not have possession. it is clear there is a time gap between blue scoring and gk grabbing his hand feigning injury to get the call. terrible call by referee
@Mm-zt3zx3 ай бұрын
@@shreddy33 Slow down the video to 0.25. time the time between when the ball was kicked and the keepers initial reaction of pain. divide that time by 4 to get the full speed time. It is about 0.68 seconds. There are many reasons your pain could be delayed by a couple seconds: 1. Adrenaline: can delay your response to pain from a couple seconds to a couple minutes depending on severity. Getting your hand kick at full speed by a striker is decently sever. 2. Nerves signals: sometimes nerevs don't transmit pain quickly, especially when they are shocked like here. Typical reaction time when you expect to have to react to something is 2 tenths of a second. A half a second delay is well within reason when you arent expecting to react. 3. Focused: If your focused on something (like trying to save a goal), your brain will prioritize that over pain reactions. 4. Emotions: higher emotions, less pain you'll feel. This is a overall high emotion game Of course he could be flopping, but he's not rolling around, not yelling at the referee (he yelled in pain once then become quieter). Watching him, it doesn't feel like he's trying to garner attention. After all of that the blue caption who scored came to check on him, why would he do that if he didn't think he kicked the keeper? You also cant say he did have possession, all he needs for possession is to be touching the ball. Doesn't matter how much he's touching it, if he is, it's his ball. In the video it really looks like his hand is there, there's a chance that it wasn't. It's the toughest call of the game for the refs, the AR with the best angle is still 30 yards away and the referee's view is almost certainly obstructed. Certianly not a terrible call, a great one given the circumstances.

@@Mm-zt3zx having 4 fingers on the ball for milliseconds does not equal control of the ball....i think that's the point you are missing. i've been a goalie for over 35 years....the keeper tln that shit at the end and it worked....smart quick thinking to overshadow the fumble he committed. nothing wrong with admitting that. However, that's not a foul....that's a legitimate goal. the refs messed up.

Technically, the ref called it correctly on the disallowed goal. In the Prem, Man U had a goal called back because Kasper Schmeichel had a single finger on the ball and Man U kicked it out and scored. They called it back because the goalkeeper had, "possession". The keeper did have his left hand around/on the ball. I understand it's not the EPL but still, the principle is still there. I could see it going both ways, honestly.
@mmmbiscuits13 ай бұрын
I disagree the goalkeeper had any part of his hand on the ball where the player and him met the ball at the same time. You’d need VAR to be certain there and at this level I think the correct call woulda been a goal.
@bryce.painyuh3 ай бұрын
@@mmmbiscuits1 Yeah! I totally agree too. Maybe it was the camera angle that made it look like his hand was around it, but I agree that VAR would be crucial to get the call correct!
@Mm-zt3zx3 ай бұрын
I understand the argument, but the laws don’t change at different levels. If the keeper has his hand on the ball, it’s his ball and it can’t be taken, that’s the rule it’s no different in the prem from U8 soccer. In my opinion the keeper got his hand on the ball first (at least it seems from video) then the ball was kicked out. I even screen recorded it and slowed it down, and it does look like the keeper is first. The ref made the right decision so they don’t need VAR here, they just made a good call.
@SwaggyP122433 ай бұрын
Freeze it at 21:12. The goalie had possession. Whether you like the call or not. The keeper had a hand on it, and between a surface. "A goalkeeper is considered to be in control of the ball with the hand(s) when: the ball is between the hands or between the hand and any surface (e.g. ground, own body) or by touching it with any part of the hands or arms, except if the ball rebounds from the goalkeeper or the goalkeeper has made a save holding the ball in the outstretched open hand bouncing it on the ground or throwing it in the air A goalkeeper cannot be challenged by an opponent when in control of the ball with the hand(s)."

Yeah if it's the one around 5:30 he was never in an offside position until the ball was being played out the other way and the offensive player wasn't even making a play at the ball. It was weird that he called it so late when no one was offside or behind the blue defender heading the ball.

No, he got a yellow cause the ref was over emotional at the time. You can just tell by his body language. He ran through a player in the air. Somehow rugby gets this one more right than soccer; 8 should have been off. "A tackle or challenge that endangers the safety of an opponent [ . . . ] must be sanctioned as serious foul play." Ducking under like that can flip someone and break their neck when they fall. Clear serious foul play, and thus a sending off offense.

This is not something that players typically get sent off for, more often this would be and expected yellow and a firm talking too. The ref should have been in between the keeper and 8 sooner, could have avoided the second yellow
