I just ordered my HHV ATE yesterday. Will be here tomorrow. As far as the weight, yeah, a bump helmet would make some things easier, but why not just go ahead and acclamate to the weight of the ATE? Makes sense to me to get so used to wearing gear so that you don't notice it when you need it. I'm just rambling lol. Thanks for making the review.

You want affordable night vision? Look up the pvs14 monocle. You can run a dual setup of pvs14's with a bridge mount as well. Happy shooting and take care!!

I bought my MICH helmet from HHV and it is fantastic. My coconut is almost 8.5 hat size and they were the only ones to have a true X-Large helmet that fits. It is very comfortable and feels like it was custom made for me. I can highly recommend the MICH from HHV. JJ

Love the video, you did a great product breakdown. "Pro Tip", you generally want to run your hearing protection and com's headset cables into the inside of the helmet, behind the pads. It protects the wires/cables, they can get cut or damaged if something were to impact the helmet. It also prevents them from getting snagged on something and getting ripped out. You don't want to lose comm's in the middle of a gun fight. Running them inside also gives the helmet a cleaner look. When you get into NOD's, if you get nods that can run off of a battery pack, you can get a helmet cover or helmet mohawk and run cables under them. But NOD's these days don't really need them, unless you are running quads or something else that sucks battery life. Other than that, battery packs are just more weight to crank down on your neck.
@FirearmFreedom3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and for the tip man I wish it could with this set up, unfortunately with the cheapo Howard Leights they don’t have a long enough cord to go underneath the helmet and still be able to rotate out of the way if need be. Also the headset is not comms capable so worse case it just looses the sound amplification ability. Lol but I totally understand your point!
@jaynikk7582 жыл бұрын
Battery packs are awesome counter-weights, I'll never again wear NODS without counter-weights, the back of my neck and bridge of my nose were feeling it big time for a couple day.
