After this episode I’m genuinely concerned about their plan for a QB. You didn’t like Penix, JJ, or Nix (which is fine) but you liked Daniel Jones enough to pay him 160M. They rightfully said “we don’t plan on picking here again” so what’s the plan? -Jones isn’t suddenly going to be an elite NFL QB. -They aren’t keeping Jones for that amount of money. So you’re either picking high again and taking a QB with the risk of getting fired or you’re picking 13th with no QB on the board and no solution to the biggest problem on the team.

It's a tough situation. There are other options that may be undesirable, costly, or risky. Those are trading up in the draft (Mara's heart will explode), singing a veteran - the Mayfield route, and/or trading for a more established player (as the Rams did with Stafford) or a younger prospect with upside (Hooker), or just riding it out with Jones as an average QB with a better supporting cast. But, to your point, none of these options are great

Lock will be out playing DJ in practice. DJ might win first 2 games, but after losing against Browns and Cowboys with DJ not making 3rd read, Look for Lock against Seattle. Even with 2-2 record.

"the best predictor of the future is the past" those words came out of Joseph Schoen's mouth last episode boys. I'm not worried about Mara being too old school. the biggest thing I took away from this episode is that Mara trusts his GM to make important moves even if they're uncomfortable. That's what we want.

Cmon guys, the reason Gettleman took DJ is because Herbert stayed in school for another year, then DG forced the pick because he heard Washington who picked after us was going to take DJ. So he passed on Josh Allen and selected DJ, and the rest is history

It’s amazing to me that so many of the Giants draft picks end up being players you HOPE turn out. Meanwhile the eagles and cowboys keep grabbing excellent talent. It’s not luck.
