You can drill 3/8ths holes up through the seat base just stopping about a half inch from the cover.....seat stays smooth!
@MotoWorld7773 жыл бұрын
hi, yea, I have seen that too. actually after the cuts your seat gets a cool ribbed look to it! :)
@sscarcello4 жыл бұрын
That's a cool idea. I will try that next time. I always say that the most important part of a motorcycle is the seat! That was cool when your wife walked in and said "who are you talking to?" :)

Good idea. Pretty easy to do. I'm trying to figure a way to core holes cleanly from left to right, figuring two staggered rows of 1/2 ince cored foam would make a huge difference... maybe trim the top and fit a gel layer on it as well. Those 6 hour plus rides... lol

I’m going to try this, I bought a new foam from enduro engineering and it is the exact same as stock like sitting on a 2x4, thanks for the video

yea, why not, but I have found that it works better than buying an expensive seat and if you don't like it you can get and expensive seat! :)

Good video. What size staples did you use?
@missionlife25333 жыл бұрын
Hey, sorry for not answering sooner Yea, you need the smaller ones. The seat cover is very thin and then you don't want to go through the plastic seat base.

So FE 250's are plateable?
@MotoWorld7773 жыл бұрын
Hi, well, I live in Tbilisi, Georgia and they will plate anything here. When I bought the bike it had the usual head and tail light on it, but it also came with signals, mirrors, etc in the box. Maybe that is the european model, I don't know about US models. Do they even sell a 2020 model in the USA?
@jordesign3 жыл бұрын
@@MotoWorld777 I have seen them here, and they are on the Husky website, but they are pretty rare. Mostly 350's & 500's... Had a KTM 690, but looking for a smaller dual sport. If I get one, I may do this same seat "upgrade." Cheers!

There are better ways, why did you do it?😳
@MotoWorld777 Жыл бұрын
hmm, what are these better ways? I do these things to show you can get good results with low cost. You could spend 500 dollars on a new seat, but then it would not be cheap or honestly a whole lot better. Many people enjoy doing things on their own and that is what I am promoting. But, yea, let me know what you think would be a better way. Thanks.
@Amin.namdari Жыл бұрын
In other words, it can be said that this is not a personal opinion, and for every person who intends to buy a motorcycle, the health of all the parts is of special importance in terms of nature, and such actions will only reduce its value. It is a product, but some people may make any modifications to their engine for their own personal use and do not have credit for the originality of the parts produced by companies such as Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Harley, KTM, etc.
@Amin.namdari Жыл бұрын
But I know you are a smart person and can come up with a new idea that can be installed on the seat individually.
@MotoWorld777 Жыл бұрын
@@Amin.namdari thanks, I am missing your point a bit, but if you are saying that is somehow devalues the resale of the bike, it may be true. But my butt is more valuable than the seat! 😁 If I wanted I could put another foam in the seat before I sell it, but at this point, I will likely keep this bike for many years so it needs to be comfortable, ridable and enjoyable first.
