I've been running my Shootout for 13 months, I have zero complaints. I work retail and have ruined so many edges dealing with cardboard and tape adhesives in a VERY short window of time. The shootout outperforms. I worry about using it for lateral prying compared to a traditional folder or fixed blade, but that's not what it's meant for.

Took me a few weeks to decide to get this knife but I definitely don’t regret it! I have several otf knives and this is definitely one of my favorites. It will definitely hold up, mine sure has!

Definitely say it is a very darn handy dandy slicing knife. Im anxious to use it in my job because I do landscaping so its gonna be exposed to so much dust and dirt which im concerned how the internals will handle it but I love using this to just glide slice through hundreds of feet of weed barrier fabric.

i like that benchmade made it center fired and not off to the left or right of the handle! i have the og black it super light but the handle just melts in my hand. only real gripe i have is wish benchmade would have stippled the whole handle not just front. agree dont pay full price!

Dude, they perfectly hand manufacturer a bunch, and have to pay wages, benefits, insurance, rent, utilities, marketing, materials, designers, aftermarket knife care, lawyers, shipping....if you ever have or run a business you would understand this well. If you mod the infidel it has very little blade play. Great knife, I love mine that’s in S30V. Unfortunately BM threw it to the side to make plastic OTFs. I’d love to see an Infidel with a thicker, wider blade.
